lol he almost whispered it being plastic… thats how you know these kind of videos are paid sponsors.

    • MrEddyedr

      December 23, 2020 at 9:40 pm

Nah, or else he would’ve said good design or solid build quality, plastic honestly doesn’t have anything to do with it considering a ton of sound bars in this class range are made with it

its really stupid to hang the display flat against the wall and have the sound bar out front like that

      December 25, 2020 at 3:39 am

@sherri moquin never heard one that didn’t sound at least a little boxey or tinney and I think w a simple bookshelf speaker setup you can get better richer more natural sound for not that much more money. Plus they are somewhat terrible for music

    • sherri moquin

      December 25, 2020 at 3:55 am

@Patsfan 4life so basically you would go for a Bluetooth speaker over a soundbar right and what do you think about jbl

    • Patsfan 4life

      December 25, 2020 at 1:30 pm

@sherri moquin even if the sound bar includes a wireless subwoofer, there’s not going to be any crossover control etc. I believe that a good panel TV like a high end Samsung will sound better from the built in sound than all but the most expensive soundbars

    • sherri moquin

      December 25, 2020 at 11:32 pm

Patsfan 4life I gotcha and I was trying to ask you if you would buy a Bluetooth speaker

    • Patsfan 4life

      December 26, 2020 at 1:28 am

@sherri moquin yes, I have one, small one by Anker, use it w/ my iPad just for watching YouTube & stuff

If you’re really interested in it price watch it at Best Buy. It’s often on sale, I got it for $699 in early November, it was $799 a couple of times earlier this month.

    • mahmoud deria

      December 24, 2020 at 1:54 am

Its meant for movies. Reviewer doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Any soundbar that says says Dolby Atmos is meant with movies in mind. This system is not as good as a sonos overall but you get value in comparison . Sonos can get expensive

    • mahmoud deria

Exactly! Dude bashed the arc but says this system isn’t suited to movies. I’m seriously wondering if he even knows the products he’s talking about

Wait 800 for a Spotify speaker that’s insane $300 is reasonable $500 might be bareable but it better nail the movies YouTube everything I throw it at

If you have any kind hearing problems all you need is a basic soundbar.

  21. oO0Xenos0Oo

    December 23, 2020 at 11:54 pm

Some samsung soundbars had this feature a few years ago already. An array of extra speakers that point towards the ceeling in addition to the front facing speakers to simulate surround sound by bouncing sound back down on you. No moving parts involved 🤨

    • Roberto Mezquia Jr

      December 29, 2020 at 5:34 pm

And other, older Vizio soundbars have that too. It’s not “new” for Vizio, just the moving speakers are new.

  22. Roland Gothburgh

    December 24, 2020 at 12:00 am

My wife and I bought a Vizio TV and a Vizio sound bar. We are very happy with what we have, but this new system is very interesting. Our new puppy chewed up the remotes. But Vizio sent us a new one. Great product.

i listened to this and the Sonos Arc…and i prefer the Sonos especially with the 2 subs and the ONE SL’s for rears

    • mahmoud deria

      December 24, 2020 at 1:50 am

The sonos are individually better overall. They will get expensive the more you add but you also get quality in return. The sonos also hold their value bc they are seen as quality as opposed to every other system. Sonos rarely ever break.

    • David Street

      December 26, 2020 at 10:05 pm

The singular drawback to the Arc is just that it needs the new eARC in order to do Atmos. We still bought one, but we won’t get Atmos sound until our Samsung breaks or gets replaced. Sonos should build an hdmi splitter or something.

Idk I like the sound bar but I constantly have to adjust sound because things get constantly blown out of proportion

  28. Starlord

    December 25, 2020 at 12:23 am

At 999 pounds lol what a waste ofmoney. For 999 buy a better tv with better speakers in it. I got a 55 inch ambilight phillips 4 k tv and it has atmos sound built in and sounds great…l have a subwoofer for base attached to it. All cost me 650….this soundbar at 999 is a joke…seriously people pay this much? And it dont evem have rear speakers or left and rightones …lol…l guess theres people wtupid enough to pay these ridiculous prices….oh and by the way…if u watch a movie with ambilight..hard to go back to a tv without it..its awsome.

  29. Richard Humphrey

    December 25, 2020 at 1:38 pm

Runs rings around sonos arc. Are you saying this because of the rears and sub that comes with it or are you saying even a sonos arc with a sub and rears is still sub par to this. And yes I know there is about 850 Us dollar difference in price for a full sonos. Also question, you made it sound like it’s not great with movies. Why else do we connect these to a visual display like a TV if not for Movies? Since you like to compare, why didn’t you also reference this system in comparison to Samsung high end HW-Q950T? Isn’t the HW-Q950T close in price right now to this Vizio?

I keep thinking this brand makes $99 special sound bars

  31. lambo2655

    December 31, 2020 at 2:03 am

I have a BOSE sound bar I bought in 2018 and the spatial audio from this device fills my entire room. It makes movies and games sound incredible. It feels like sound is coming from every wall in my room after I did a simple procedure to map out the room. The optional subwoofer isn’t even required. BOSE products aren’t cheap this model cost close to $800 but I don’t regret my purchase at all.
