I love tiktok, sometimes I can’t get off it. It feels like the internet back when the content was truly organic. That’s what makes it such a different experience. Fewer ads and more of what you’d like. With that being said, I would not really say its an a procrastinating tool because what you do in response to it is reflective of yourself than inducing procrastination in you. It’s even a greater experience if you can interact with it by responding to the kind of content you want more of. I have one for learning about new things whether in business or school, another account for spiritual and self improvement related content and the other to go wild with random content. I know that to be in my control and I can be as responsible as I can be. I’ve also recently started posting my very own content to attract people in my space. The live tiktoks are also very engaging. Its just a wonderful app. Shou seems to be a very legit CEO and takes his company very seriously. I think tiktok is really the epitome of what social media is trying to be or the first one to be in the right direction next to twitter.

I don’t even want to see his talk, I’ve seen already enough kid’s brainwashed by tik tok, brilliant young brains enslaved by the need of likes, there’s nothing more valuable today than a high-followers profile.

To me the most valuable asset we own is knowledge, and I’m falling into depression by seeing every day people that know nothing about the basic stuff that shape our today, yet they can name every actor of every movie, know every trend, they know everything.
Truth is nowadays we don’t even know what we will have for dinner, better make a survey in my stories so that I can be wisely advised

Question isn’t whether to trust him or not, Tiktok has millions of users with or without you, do you trust your own government is more important, are they telling you the truth. Are they not spying and tracking Americans, are they hypocrites.

I don’t support bans, don’t appreciate the jokes about “free” access to this platform and am deeply concerned about a wide (non-generational) population that isn’t *in any way* practiced in critical thinking and media savvy. I do not buy this organization’s mission/North Star. This platform does not engender nor foster “connection” nor “talent” nor “discovery.” TikTok is Limbic Marketing writ large. Period.

No matter what he tells us, he is still one of the subdued mouthpieces of the Communist Chinese Govt through Tik Tok. Don’t be fooled for a second by what he is uttering about data privacy, security, code reviews, legislations, etc being true and that it cant be clawed by the Communist Chinese Govt . Anything under this oppressive regime can be confiscated, abused, and manipulated against anyone.

While Tik-Tok is a powerful platform, so is its dark and manipulative intention of the Communist regime. Dive deep into its terms and conditions, so you know what data and information they are harvesting from its users.

The aggression and purpose of this Communist regime are getting louder and clearer from different angles whether in economics, politics, technology, diplomacy, business, and so on – This Communist Chinese Govt wants to change the ideology of the world from a Democratic form into Communism, and with the ambition to the no.1 economy in the world(nothing against with that, but not its ideology). So be very watchful and speak out.

Why have a CCP shill on? TED lost their way years ago by ignoring their speakers affiliates or fact checking their speakers. Ignoring the fact TikTok is banned in China. Its NOT that its never been available there, it is banned. Try it by flying to China and using the app, you can’t as its banned. All western apps are banned in China so there should be no problem with banning tiktok in America.

Do you know communism relationship with business is extremely toxic? people who died from Tiktok challenges don’t have power to file lawsuit against communist party company. America is easy to bankrupt a company. What do you see as tiktok platform? doublethink. There’s school fights here. there’s no school fights in china. China kept their mouth shut unsuspected activities and un-American activities. You finally wake up; knowing why other countries ban YouTube, Tiktok, etc.

I hate this app because it is the first app that makes endless video scrolling go viral and makes other platforms do the same thing, like YT Short and other short on other apps. It has such a negative effect on modern life, culture, human behavior, attitude, skill, and others. Yes, it has a good impact too, but among 1–10 people, only 2 get the good impact.

it is a tool, it is up to the individual to moderate how they use it
it is the same with poker and gambling, it is up to the individual to control themselves
if people are making an argument about kids usage, then it is up to the parents to moderate their kid’s control of their smart devices
for example, there is nothing stopping a kid getting access to pornographic material, if their parents provide them with smart devices without any parental control or moderation

😅Being an ivy league grad, he is expected to speak well. But what we need to ask is as pleasant a person as he appears to be, does being the tiktok CEO without IT programming experience or credentials mean that there is zero possibility that he is Not Told the dark secrets, if any, of Tiktok pertaining to ccp and the tracking of eye pupil dilation and alleged access of USA user data? In other words, he is the hired help by a ccp-linked company. Does that mean he knows whats inside the codes and how data is accessed by ccp, if any? A hot tempered boss would be wise to hire a pleasant customer service person to make his company look good instead of fronting the customer himself. An employee told only the good stuff about the company’s vision statement to save the planet will believe the company is saving the planet. A soldier told to kill the enemy because its national interest will kill with pride. Get my point?
    Please rebut if you disagree.

Like everything he says feels so robotic and rehearsed, I want him to just go on a podcast or something and just like, friggin talk normally. Also, why is it just now that he’s going all public? Literally no one knew him before like a month ago. I say all of this being an active user and creator of TikTok that has made viral content. I do really like the platform, and on the surface yeah Shou seems like a nice guy but there’s just something about the way it functions that’s so shrouded away in mystery which makes me question the company’s mission / ethics.
