@MegaProudAlbanian are you okay? He’s referring to how ted used to talk about science and the future etc not eternal feminist crap.
MegaProudAlbanian
January 4, 2021 at 9:12 pm
@Anton Wereta TED used to talk about a lot of stuff, not just Tech News.
Sociology and anthropology has been a huge part of TED since forever. Its just that you guys are too easily triggered by anything which even remotely hints racially aware or feminist issues.
Changing of political power dynamics regarding traditional roles IS talking about the future.

@MegaProudAlbanian I’d say, by my observations, people are getting triggered when the focus is more on feelings than practical matters. Jonathan Haidt and Gad Saad go into it a bit in their work and editorializations. The Coddling of the American Mind and The Rightious Mind for the later and The Parasitic Mind for the latter.

@clearmenser Problem is social issues are inherently about “feelings” . There isnt any quantifiable oppression meter and when you do x,y or z actions you remove it. Things like representation and diversity of perspectives will always be about the psychological effect on affected groups, and that IS a practical manner, but there are tpo many radicalized chuds on the internet that feel threatened by feminjsm

Miriam Perkins
January 5, 2021 at 2:21 pm
@Alex Rguez Wanting to remove barriers to leadership roles for women, is not blaming men for my problems. You’ve completely generalised and put a movement in a box based on lack of understanding, and the disinformation coming from the Right. Diversify your media; learn something.

January 5, 2021 at 4:46 pm
@Miriam Perkins dawg you got it all wrong, no one wants to keep up a barrier between men and women in the workplace. Men are tired of women like you mouning about men being the problem of everything that happens in their lives including not enough women in higher positios of power. I mean the woman in the vid even got the definition of leadership wrong yet she wants to be in that position.
Also this is a nonpolitical issue, it has nothing to do with your political beliefs nor anyone’s.
Alex Rguez
January 5, 2021 at 4:58 pm
@Miriam Perkins no one ever said they’re frightened about putting down the barrier between both genders, in fact I’d say most men in here would agree with putting it down, the thing you won’t ever get cos you’re too polarized with the feminist (now formally known as the feminazy) movement is that men are always put to blame for women’s issues and we want you lot to realize that but, like you already showed to every man here, you don’t really listen.
Miriam Perkins
January 6, 2021 at 4:48 pm
@Alex Rguez I think the main issue here is this idea that feminism is about blame. It really is a shame that you have been so influenced by the right wing media, that you’ve formed such an inaccurate perception. A small group of crazies are highlighted by the media, incorrectly made as to represent an entire movement. We scream from the top of our lungs that we DO NOT identify with these ideals, but are ignored.
Not once, has Kluane, or myself, blamed men. Feminism simply asks, decisions that which affects women, should have women involved in such decisions.
Feminism. Does. Not. Blame. Men.
You have been manipulated by the mainstream media, that highlights crazy woman, that do NOT represent the movement.
There are social issues that affect all genders. These issues involve both men and woman.
Alex Rguez
January 6, 2021 at 6:49 pm
@Miriam Perkins I’m not gonna repeat myself again cos you´re clearly not listening, this has nothing to do with politics and if you want me to be honest, I neither support the left nor the right parties, I think both parties have right and wrong points, also I don’t trust any media, I look at what they show and do my own research. Nevertheless, men know, no matter what your political view is, what equality means, equal opportunity for everyone (I´m not gonna generalize cos I do agree on the fact that some men think women shouldn´t be equal). I don´t think feminism blames men, I think that some women that support the movement blame men and that made the initial movement to shift into the mess that it is nowadays.
I watched the part where she mentions the patriarchy again and yes she didn´t say, feminism blames men that´s true but she said hey the patriarchy and misogyny ways of ruling society must change while mentioning that in her nation, trade relationships, marriage alliances and businesses work were managed by the matriarchy. The problem when you compare this to our worldwide society is that without men all those things wouldn´t even have existed and the new feminist movement doesn´t even acknowledge the important rule men had and still have in society.
You stated that a small minority of women are the feminazis, they are not the real feminists, yet every 8M all you see in the media is millions of women marching and supporting the movement and there nothing wrong with that, in fact, that’s great, the problem comes when no “real feminists” or the mainstream media even support men on the 19N too, the women that do support men wanting equality for both genders are the real feminists not the majority of women who think they only have it harder. Like you assumed I only consume right mainstream media, I´m going to assume that you only consume left mainstream media and what do you commonly see in those sites, all men are bad, you should believe every woman, women have it harder, men don´t have issues in society and so on and so forth.
Yes there are social, economical and even cultural issues that affect both and again nobody is saying women don’t deserve those higher positions of power, what most men are saying is that instead of just giving that position to you as if you earned it out of nowhere like equality suggests equal opportunity, you should work as hard as the men that are in those positions to get there.
I don’t want to drag this further if you don’t want to listen or don’t want to see the issue then good on yah, have a great one.

@ArmySister2 You’re being disingenuous. Since all things effect woman, then all things must be decided by woman. Presumably for the benefit of women (since men can’t look out for women, women can’t look out for men).
