@@bag_of_pixels No need to invent color blindness.

FYI, those are not really e-ink. Just lcd with a layer to make it look matte, then they just change the color to black and white.

Those TCL phones and devices are not e-ink, just emulates how e-ink looks, ie, makes the display black and white.

@@Xi_Jinping_is_Pooh we thought TCL is e-ink and bought one but it’s just an illusion. we returned.

@@Shabbir-A. Yeah. I was surprised at the fast refresh rate of those TCL first gen “e-ink” devices and googled a bit. Turned out it was just good ‘ol lcd/led, with a layer to make it look matte. And 90% of “reviewers” forgot to mention it.

@@alattice They just got a layer to make it look matte. I too was very interested of e-ink since they came out, but the technology never got anywhere better than a reader.

@1:45 WHY? Why does ANYONE want/need this? Is it really so hard to take a case off and put a new one on? And that PRICE – SERIOUSLY??? WHY? Why does ANYONE like this? You’re like the 3rd or 4th I’ve seen say this and it seems ABBSURD.
Time to change a case: 10-15 seconds (manually)
or
$600 (for device and 1 case)
Wait 10-15 seconds for it to change
Make your phone MUCH thicker and heavier
Why again? My WHOLE PHONE was less than $600 – THIS IS STUPID.
