This is just history repeating itself (round and round we go). Also, I cancelled my Amazon Prime service. I also deleted my FB and IG accounts about 6 months ago. I am mentally healthier and happier. My relationships are higher quality for sure. You don’t need these services. Period.

Big tech giants are just exploiting the lack of legislation on tech. I am not saying it is right but they are only doing what Wall Street has been doing since the early 1900’s. Is all this the tech giants fault or congress’ for dragging their butts and not agreeing on anything that protects the consumer? Lately, the only legislation that gets rushed to the table is legislation that protects corporations.

where did you get that idea? Google owns verily, Facebook is helping us stay informed, Apple is helping us communicate, and Amazon is providing us with items when going to the store is dangerous. It’s really simple after that Isolate , wear masks, and wash hands. Had we done and enforced this in the US we could all return to work and prevent the eviction crisis, the unemployment crisis, and the forbearance crisis. In addition to this 150k people were removed from the workforce. The responsibility is of the collective population not any company.

I think Congress does not have a tech savvy clue at all. They are not asking the right questions. Instead they are getting schooled by these CEO’s on the simplest of things and how it works in the tech space. I am not sure with the answers they were given that they even understand them. I think a test needs to be administered after the hearings to ensure proper understanding.Perhaps if they spent a little more time with their children or grandchildren on how to use tech they might be better prepared for these hearings. If an old dog can’t be taught new tricks – then perhaps they need to make way for a younger pup to work in Congress. IMHO ; )

Why is the word “connection” always brought up as something positive? Worldly connection always led us to misery. Global trade in the 14th century was the cause of the spread of the Black Death killing half of all Europeans. European connection with the Native Americans had millions of Natives killed, again by disease. Connectedness has positives but we never hear of the negatives. Connectedness is a New-Age term and is a big thing for the New-Age New World Order single religion agenda. Be happy, we will all be connected, as one, as brothers, in slavery! Instead, Christ told us this world is not ours, His Kingdom is not of this world. Therefor we must find a connection with Christ, in order to have a connection with the Father and the Heavenly Kingdom to come, not the one the Freemasons want to build here on earth, but the one which Christ promised us after the suffering of this world, in Heaven.

In my opinion, at the end of the day, they need to be like hey companies we know you’ll probably say your monopolies are for the betterment of the world. But all in all you are companies that have way too much power. Your just companies, not countries.

They benefited from internet, infrastructure and laws, that other people have made for the common good. But they don’t pay appropriate tax or treat their partners fair.
Only these bosses had the great ideas and claim 100% of success for their own. They don’t want to share even a bit with the public.
In other words, to become rich, you have to be a selfish a**hole.

This is why burgerking, coors, budweiser, and other companies hq operations are moving outside this country. Interrogating these CEOs under oath and pressuring them into making promises can’t keep put them at risk for perjury later on, it’s kinda entrapment. Tech companies can’t control what everyone does ultimately, Jeff Bezos seemed Congress’s main target 🎯. Also people agree to terms and conditions when it comes to privacy.

  54. TampaTec

Tech companies should just hire lawyers or better yet famous comedians as CEOs so congress would look like a joke during these Interrogations. Chris Rock as CEO would be entertaining.

  59. Frank Blackcrow

    August 1, 2020 at 9:00 pm

FB and Twitter need to be made into public trusts and have their owners ownership taken away..all need to be open to everyone.. even to have people to express their hatred.. that would be mainly targeted at those that keep wanting to silence people from talking against the PC dictatorship that the CEO’s seem to think need to have over every word that other people can speak.. as to have certain speech dictated to as to stop any one talking about subjects that are not in line with the PC dictatorship of the platform’s CEO’s.
