It’s one worse phone with that processor which heats up, at least apple would implement hardware difference between it’s base and higher model, whereas pixel has software difference between normal and pro, which is funny

I want full satcom on the iPhone. Being able to have data, voice and text, anywhere outside cellular coverage, being able to cross international borders and just pick up a sat signal. Im guessing thats where apple is heading with the introduction of SOS couple yeard ago. AI and foldables just seem kind of like filler features before everyone tries to rush and add satellite capabilities on their phone (good luck Google and Tensor).

I have a Galaxy Z fold 5 and I can tell my productivity increased drastically thanks to the inner screen and cover screen for quick tasks. What I only wish is the Z fold 5 with a larger cover screen looking the same as the One Plus Open, I do hope they release the Galaxy Z fold 6 looking the same as the renders so I get it cuz of the new design and larger screen

I have never paid more than £399 for a phone and so the phones that I am most looking forwards to this year are the iPhone SE 4 for £499 and the Pixel 7a for £399.
The most useful thing about phone reviewers is the way that they rubbish perfectly good phones. This allows me to buy excellent brand new phones for my family for half price. In the last two years I have bought a half price Samsung A53 5G and iPhone SE 2020 for half price following incorrect critical reviews.
@diabolusvincit
January 3, 2024 at 3:27 pm
You are making the right choice. 90% of people who have the latest models don’t need them, and they probably use 25% of the features those phones have to offer. It’s all about fear of missing out, they buy new so they don’t feel left out. But left out of what? Of a technology they barely use, let alone understand.
@paulharrison8379
January 4, 2024 at 7:54 am

in display cameras will always sacrifice image quality no matter how good they are so i don’t think they’ll be coming. instead they should incorporate selfie punchholes with the UI like apple did.

The world is becoming a game where nothing is real. Take a pic and your friend can instantly change the way you’re looking or doing something in that pic. 10 years later, when looking through pictures, you’ll be like “i don’t remember doing that in the picture… Is my memory wrong? What really happened that day? i can’t remember if this is real or changed”. Or “wow you never looked better than in this picture!” and you’ll be like “yeah i never looked that good period 😅”
