CNET can you go one video without comparing a mobile product to iphones?!

@Victor Mascena What kinda drugs are you on?

    • Kent Purdy

      August 8, 2022 at 1:12 pm

In the U.S. iPhone dominates. It’s a direct competitor which makes it a direct comparison.

    • SeKToR

      August 8, 2022 at 1:52 pm

@Victor Mascena What? By that logic iOS is a copy of Windows Pocket PCs.

    • SeKToR

      August 8, 2022 at 1:54 pm

@Kent Purdy Do you even watch their iPhone reviews? For a decade all they do is compare Android phones to iPhones. Then on iPhone reviews compare the new iPhone to the old iPhone. Such moronic review standards.

    • ekekk

      August 8, 2022 at 10:07 pm

@Victor Mascena I can tell you never touched an Android since 2012 😂

Apple’s pencil went magnetic to finally copy the Surface’s pen. I’m sure it was a bitter pill for them to swallow.

Help me to understand how a GLARING ISSUE with the Galaxy Watch 5 would be “no support for IOS”….

…..but the Apple Watch has NEVER had ANY Android OS support…..ever?🤔🤔🤔 That was never a GLARING ISSUE for the Apple Watch on CNET?🤔🤔🤔

P.S. The Galaxy Watches were previously compatible with IOS in the past and the last iteration was not (including the upcoming model). The Apple Watch has 👉NEVER👈 been compatible with ANYTHING other than IOS.

      August 8, 2022 at 4:34 pm

Well I think Samsung touted as being compatible with iOS or Android, if so then they shouldn’t claim it. If they had only been compatible with Android no one would’ve batted an eye, but if they’re gonna talk a big talk they need to be able to back it up.

    • The Gadget Guru

      August 8, 2022 at 8:09 pm

@OW I don’t think they confirmed nor denied it

    • OW

      August 8, 2022 at 11:34 pm

@The Gadget Guru lol I don’t think it works like that 😅 if it’s on the box that the watch is compatible with iOS or Android, Samsung is definitely aware of it, their engineers made it lol

    • The Gadget Guru

      August 8, 2022 at 11:48 pm

      @OW really you sure?

    • OW

      August 8, 2022 at 11:59 pm

And to OP, which is fine because Apple never claimed to try and integrate with Android, Samsung shouldn’t claim something they can’t back up, either all or nothing.

Flip 3 was great, but I could not live with the horrible battery life. Hopefully that was fixed at some level?

    • The Gadget Guru

      August 8, 2022 at 3:14 pm

Yeah I heard that was bad least they got the whole cover display timing out thing fixed with the 3 I’m hoping the flip 4 would have a razer like outer display you can do so much more with that vs the flip 3 outer display

My issue with Samsung is that they offer no warranties. They do, but they fight every warranty claim tooth and nail. I am just sick of hearing, “No, we show that was sold to Best Buy/AT&T/sprint/CostCo/Sam’s. We only warrant to the original purchaser.”

    • Vashawn Brown

  14. Emmanuel McDonald

    August 8, 2022 at 3:36 pm

So I guess people’s economic troubles will disappear when Apple releases the next iPhones in September – October?

    • ekekk

      August 8, 2022 at 10:02 pm

      What’s the logic here?

    • Emmanuel McDonald

      August 8, 2022 at 10:25 pm

@ekekk He indicated that people may not have a budget for either foldable because Samsung is releasing their most expensive products at this time; he is, I believe, pointing to inflation. But no one ever says these things when Apple releases their expensive iPhones, iPads, MacBooks, etc. There is no need to state the obvious, if people cannot afford Samsung’s products (side note: Samsung offers better trade in deals and store credits for accessories to increase affordability compared to Apple), then people should not buy them. That logic applies to any manufacturer’s products.

Had a very bad experience with samsung m42 5g. Exactly after 1 year and 15 days phone started to re boot repeatedly and samsung authorised service center at chennai asked me 9,500 rupees to change the mother board as the only solution. Samsung producing such a quality phone….

Anything that’s below the A50 series is bad. Get a proper Samsung like the S22 Ultra or a Galaxy S21 fe will do just fine.

They better get rid of the gap when folded and significantly reduce the crease on both phones. The competition showed two generations ago how to make foldables that fold flat and have only a very minimal crease. With gen 1 and 2 Samsung was kind of a pioneer in this field so it was acceptable not having a phone looking perfectly flush. But at least with gen 3 I was sure they had a look at the competition how they manage to make a hinge that closes completely with less stress on the display. It was very disappointing to see that they changed next to nothing in the design and they still looked like some kind of a prototype. I’m very hopeful gen 4 will become the sleek and elegant design that Motorola, Vivo, Xiaomi, Honor and Huawei managed to release two years ago…

Really hoping they come out with a 2-fold phone, not just 1-fold, which would open up to essentially a iPad sized tablet from phone form
