Galaxy Tab S9 beats the Pixel tablet in all aspects except price. New chipset and water dust resistance is a big enough reason that I’ll be updating from my Tab S8.

Here in the UK the Pixel Tablet is £599. The S9 with 12gb and 256gb is now available for £699. And it includes the pen. That makes the S9 better value imo.

I agree with you. I’ve been a lifelong Samsung product owner. I’ve never been disappointed either. The Samsung’s handle challenges with disabilities better than all of them. Apple, Lenovo, Panasonic, Nook and Pixel. My Orthopedic recommended the iPad when I returned to school. But Samsung’s a master at shortcuts in note taking, turning handwriting to type and using Microsoft One Note while utilizing note taking software. For me, Apple is still very much a entertainment device. Apple doesn’t play nicely with other’s. And they are slow to come in board. Once they do it’s slapped with “Apple Pricing”.

Why can’t we have ab S9 ultra in the case of the 11″ with the 11,200mAh battery? Just saying
PS after some digging, one can say you cannot compare “galaxies” to “pixels” 😅😅😅😅

You forgot the most important feature the Display..Majority of people use tablets for media consumption so if the display ain’t good other things fall apart..imho

Bad comparison as you miss the main difference – Dynamic AMOLED screen with a up to 120Hz refresh rate in Samsung vs IPS LCD 60 Hz display in Pixel.

I actually own both the Pixel tablet and the Galaxy Tab 8+ 5G. Ever since I bought the Pixel tablet I have been in absolute heaven. I actually gave my brother my Galaxy Tab S8+ 5G, and haven’t looked back. It’s the smooth software that the Pixel tablet has that makes it so great, and not say that the Tab S8 is not. Google just knows how to make its software stick. I bring my Pixel Tablet to work and watch movies, listen to audiobooks, and respond to a few emails. The most interesting thing about all of this I really thought that I was going to miss Samsung Dex software, but honestly it hasn’t been an issue. Using the Pixel Tablet in Hubmode is also enjoyable, I love using my tablet and an alarm clock, that’s fully charged and ready to bring with me to work.

I think Samsung Tabs S series are the best hardware in the market, as for software, I can’t say which is better, but I hear good things about Google’s software.

Samsung hardware will last well over a decade but sadly Samsung OS support and security upgradesupdates will be dropped soon after purchase. Built-in obsolescence with forced unnecessary hardware upgrades because profits matter and the environment not so much. I got too many tablets and android devices that with an OS update would still be useful. so sad.

Samsung is clearly the better tablet over the Pixel, by far. Cameras, storage and RAM, the design, screen size, battery capacity. Now is it worth $300+ over the Pixel. Possibly if you plan to use a tablet like most people use an iPad, for some sort of productivity, creativity, mediacentric tasks and what not then yes, the cost is worth it. Even more so if you include that it has the S-Pen with the device, something Apple charges extra for on their tablets. HOWEVER. Apple vs Samsung, iPad is the better tablet over Samsung, by a distance but not by far. The starting prices of iPad models which generally include more capability, more specialized apps, more APIs, more frequent updates for security and OS and apps, longer support life of hardware, is less than the starting price of Samsung. iPad also has more options from Mini, iPad, Air and Pro models all within the price ranges of Samsung but many are less and others are more. iPad also has better support for data over cellular/LTE/5G whatever. The ecosystem of both is decent, but only Apple has the hardware, software and cloud together as one company one developer. Samsung still has to integrate Tizen, One UI, Android together in different hardware across more device lines than is really needed. There are flaws in these OS and UIs talking with another even if its through cloud data. Don’t get me wrong, I love Samsung devices. I own pretty much ONLY Samsung for Android devices now but I also have everything Apple because the ecosystem is better at integrating everything across all devices and Samsung still can’t get it right.
