This looks like a more refined version would fit inside a pair of boots easily. The military might be interested 😄

Military already has a exoskeleton soldier suit, search it up. It’s crazy since the program was first supposed to be for disabled people before being taken into the military.

Could be a big leap of faith for people like myself with life limiting flat feet tree trunk legs, no thanks to a busted lymphatic system/Lymphoedema and totally flat dropped feet with no insteps or arches, although, if you do have particularly wide calves, this boot as it is wouldn’t work for you unless it was lace up, or you lost the boot altogether and just had a thing like those kiddies roller skates which strap over a normal pair of boots, shoes, sandals, slippers Etc. That would also be better over the warmer months when you wouldn’t want to be wearing boots.

Why do modern nerds always prefer electric and motor based actuators over hydraulic and pneumatic? Most industrial machinery turned from electric actuators toward these back in the day, and they really haven’t been upgraded since. Is it a safety thing?

Currently looks limited to me. Rightly or wrongly (probably the latter) I imagined Steven Hawkins walking like John Travolta below the knee, as the rest of his body dragged along the floor behind (definitely the latter!). But it’s at least one step closer the P-5000 Powered Work Loader in Aliens.

Looks like too much engineering not enough smarts in this design. it needs far more leeway and give, less all physically connected to itself. the cords are a no go. thing is one glitch away from snapping your ankle in half

Real life iron man: It gives you the power to walk. . . because you couldn’t do that before. . . apparently. . . . i think. . . really wasn’t clear on that part. Oh, but don’t try crab walking though, or side stepping. . . or strafing, jumping or really most any normal motor functions. Yeah, the systems not really built for that. So yeahhhhh~ Oh, and also don’t turn the thing off, if you do that, you will feel crippled for life, even if you were completely fine before using the thing. Real life iron man though, right guys?

If you read that that in a rick & morty voice, congrats. You understood the assignment.
