    February 23, 2022 at 12:04 am

I think with Quest 2 and maybe Quest 3 it may force sony to try and keep its price down

  5. Everything Videos

    February 23, 2022 at 12:13 am

I don’t have a PS5 I just bought a Xbox Series S until I can get my CPU and Motherboard replaced in my PC

    • Tom Vance

      February 23, 2022 at 12:23 am

I feel ya. I’m waiting on GPU prices to come back down

  6. deathswirl

    February 23, 2022 at 12:14 am

I think they’re forced to keep the price way down. the Quest doesn’t need a PC or Console to use, it’s wireless and supports 90% of the games this will run

    • Tom Vance

      February 23, 2022 at 12:18 am

The Quest is not anywhere near as capable as the PSVR2 with PS5. It can’t play majority of PCVR games like the PSVR2 will be able to. It’s not even a fair competition.

    • Barackus

      February 23, 2022 at 12:28 am

I already own a quest and will be getting a PSVR 2 for the exclusives. Hopefully I can use it as a pc VR headset too. I’m sure someone will hack it!

    • hardtoget

      February 23, 2022 at 1:20 am

Quest2 standalone runs on a smartphone processor. It is already an overall downgrade from psvr1. The difference between the quest 2 standalone and psvr2 will be huge

  7. Andres Lopez

    February 23, 2022 at 12:14 am

Now if I can only find a PS5!

  8. Sonny Tsai

    February 23, 2022 at 12:22 am

    Waiting for its 😉

  9. Tom Vance

    February 23, 2022 at 12:30 am

Can’t wait for someone to create drivers so I can use this on my PS5 and PC for PCVR. I will finally retire my Quest for PCVR and use it only for traveling.

  10. politechjunky

    February 23, 2022 at 12:39 am

    I still need a find a PS5

  11. Shawn A

    February 23, 2022 at 12:44 am

I just want to know if it’s gonna be backwards compatible. I can’t wait to get rid of the mess of wires with psvr 1 and the box

  12. Peppy Robo

    February 23, 2022 at 12:51 am

All I can say is that if this headset is being sold for £350 then there are going to be a lot of PSVR 1’s for extremely cheap

  13. Anthony Perez

    February 23, 2022 at 12:53 am

    Already behind Oculus Quest 2.

    How about GTA 5
    that would be amazing 🤩

  17. Masked Man

    February 23, 2022 at 1:01 am

I’ve heard it would be between $400 – $600. If they threw in 6 months of PS Plus that would be a deal. I’d also love to see this be offered to the PC market being compatible

  18. Yoshigamer507

    February 23, 2022 at 1:01 am

  23. PFT Burchell

    February 23, 2022 at 1:11 am

It sounds amazing but it has a lot of hurdles. Price, getting a PS5 and having must play games.

  24. Colton Piper

    February 23, 2022 at 1:17 am

GT7 better have a VR piece like GT Sport did. With the new (higher res) panels it’s would look crazy good.

  25. Quinton Aiken

    February 23, 2022 at 1:23 am

    getting it day 1

  26. K3Soulja

    February 23, 2022 at 4:05 pm

I feel good about this one I think they will really support it

  27. BarefootFred

    February 23, 2022 at 4:25 pm

PS2 is great, but it isn’t wireless like the Gameboy color, so many people will probably find it annoying.

That’s the cable argument for Quest 2 v PSVR2. There’s no comparison in the level of performance we’re going to get from PSVR2.

  28. BarefootFred

    February 23, 2022 at 4:29 pm

WHOA. You just said that it’s likely to be backwards compatible with the PSVR library? That is wild speculation and most PSVR fans are not expecting this to be the case because of how different the tracking methods are.

    • TheMamaluigi300

      February 23, 2022 at 9:02 pm

I mean, tracking could be handled on an API level, kinda like how Steam VR works with tracking

What I would love to know is if the PSVR2 could be backwards compatible with a PS4
Like, an adapter to connect the PSVR2 to the PSVR1 breakout box

  29. Bryan Walker

    February 23, 2022 at 6:10 pm

    Re8 in vr please!

  30. Michael Donnelly

    February 23, 2022 at 6:23 pm

But real question will it play orginal psvr titles??

  31. Mark Knight

    February 23, 2022 at 6:29 pm

Oh god! I can already smell the $1000 price tag of the PSVR2 due to Jim Ryan took a huge price dump on it

  32. James Latief

    February 23, 2022 at 6:52 pm

Why get this when Oculus Quest2 is around? Playstation only games is the only reason I can think of.

    • ShapeshifteR

      February 23, 2022 at 7:11 pm

There are people who prefer playing on a console instead of an expensive, maintenance-heavy game pc, you know? Assuming u meant that, if you’re talking about Quest 2 standalone then ROFL!!

    • Nothing

      February 23, 2022 at 11:05 pm

@ShapeshifteR PCs are maintenance heavy? You can upgrade them anytime if you want sure but just make sure you clean them maybe once a month (You should be doing the same for consoles) and you’re fine.

  33. Nox Epoch2

    February 23, 2022 at 7:12 pm

are the controllers light or will people with bad wrists (carpal tunnel) be locked out of vr 2?

  34. Millie Meakin

    February 23, 2022 at 7:26 pm

    what if you do not have a ps4 not a ps5 🤔

  35. Jenny BB

    February 23, 2022 at 8:11 pm

Higher resolution with no screendoor effect is all I ask for, I will gladly pay over $500 for the best overall VR experience Playstation and it’s games will bring me.

    • Darth Fader

      February 23, 2022 at 11:18 pm

the question is when will we get “Alyx 2” since with Sony the marked will become much bigger than before.

  39. dudi aflalo

    February 23, 2022 at 9:12 pm

If the glasses support 4K, then must also support TV?

    • Darth Fader

      February 23, 2022 at 11:17 pm

no the set is a “tv”

  40. Blaz Potocnik

    February 23, 2022 at 9:21 pm

Sony needs to do a real awesome Flight simulator Vr game like Flight Simulator 2022

  41. Mike Warner

    February 23, 2022 at 9:36 pm

Psvr 2 definitely looks good. Not as cool and awesome as that tiger shirt home boy is rocking.

  42. Gadgeto Gudamu

    February 23, 2022 at 9:43 pm

relax its gonna be the same price as the first one! 400 bucks for sure! And back compat is guarenteed!

  43. Zenith Quasar

    February 23, 2022 at 10:05 pm

I mean this is a massive leap to their initial headset and seems really solid!

  44. Roy Hoy!

    February 23, 2022 at 10:08 pm

    The triggers should be black.

  45. Wesley Draves

    February 23, 2022 at 10:25 pm

Looks like PlayStation is trying to copy oculus

    • Nothing

      February 23, 2022 at 11:03 pm

      Oculus didn’t invent VR headsets.

    • Darth Fader

      February 23, 2022 at 11:16 pm

Looks like roughly seen the gaming marked behaves like the car marked (they talk about what and when)

  46. John Rogers

    February 23, 2022 at 10:37 pm

    cool

  47. Robust

    February 23, 2022 at 11:09 pm

  48. aiden

    February 23, 2022 at 11:25 pm

why does the intro sound like Facetime with My Mom by Bo Burnham?

  49. yes yes

    February 24, 2022 at 12:32 am

“4k” I hate when people throw 4k around, this isn’t 4k, 2000 x 2000 is only nominally better than 1440p, which is only nominally better than 1080p…

the actual pixel count for 2000 x 2000 is 4 million or 4 megapixels. 4k is 8 million or 8 megapixels, meaning its half of 4k, I can attest to 1440p being underwhelming compared to 4k.

It isn’t a meaningful difference is what I am getting at, and it isn’t close to 4k considering it is half the pixel count.

  50. Johnny Bgoode

    February 24, 2022 at 1:19 am

Id like to see what the headset looks like with the 3D Pulse headphones on.

  51. Jase Yiu

    February 24, 2022 at 7:18 am

I wonder how many people bought the original psvr only for resident evil 7. It’s gonna be another piece of garbage taking up space in my house after playing one worthy game.

  52. DARK-LORD-VINAY

    February 24, 2022 at 7:20 am

    It’s not back compat

  53. RLaneSports

  54. Michael Berumen

    February 24, 2022 at 7:59 am

Did they sampled Bo Burnham’s “FaceTime with my Mom” for the opening? 😂

  55. Andrew Nabil

    February 24, 2022 at 9:46 am

    Great review!

  56. legendp2011

    February 24, 2022 at 9:59 am

I expect it will be $300 ($400 max)after seeing the design. it lacks built in audio (which the reverb g2 has), and it lacks a detachable cable (which the reverb g2 has). hp reverb g2 often goes on sale for $450. so I think this will $400 at most (and possibly $300 if they sell it at a loss)

  57. GRIM REAPERS CREED

Imagine the new GTA being compatible with this. The headset has haptic feedback, so as I’m getting punch in the face, my head will feel it.

    Greatness awaits.

    • ScorpionFury

      February 24, 2022 at 5:27 pm

This will likely happen, been a lot of rumors about the new GTA 5 (next gen) will get PSVR 2 support

    *PlayStation Virtual Reality 2.0*

    *PlayStation VR2 Headset* features

*Visual Fidelity:* For a high-fidelity visual experience, PS VR2 offers 4K HDR, 110-degree field of view, and foveated rendering. With an OLED display, players can expect a display resolution of 2000×2040 per eye and smooth frame rates of 90/120Hz.

*Headset-based Controller Tracking:* With inside-out tracking, PS VR2 tracks you and your controller through integrated cameras embedded in the VR headset. Your movements and the direction you look at are reflected in-game without the need for an external camera.

*New Sensory Features:* PS VR2 Sense Technology combines eye tracking, headset feedback, 3D Audio, and the innovative PS VR2 Sense controller to create an incredibly deep feeling of immersion. Headset feedback is a new sensory feature that amplifies the sensations of in-game actions from the player. It’s created by a single built-in motor with vibrations that add an intelligent tactile element, bringing players closer to the gameplay experience. For example, gamers can feel a character’s elevated pulse during tense moments, the rush of objects passing close to the character’s head, or the thrust of a vehicle as the character speeds forward. Additionally, PS5’s Tempest 3D AudioTech makes sounds in the player’s surroundings come alive, adding to this new level of immersion.

*Eye Tracking:* With eye tracking, PS VR2 detects the motion of your eyes, so a simple look in a specific direction can create an additional input for the game character. This allows players to interact more intuitively in new and lifelike ways, allowing for a heightened emotional response and enhanced expression that provide a new level of realism in gaming.

    *PlayStation VR Sense Controller* features

*Adaptive triggers:* Each VR controller (Left and Right) includes an adaptive trigger button that adds palpable tension when pressed, similar to what’s found in the DualSense controller. If you’ve played a PS5 game, you’ll be familiar with the tension in the L2 or R2 buttons when you press them, such as when you’re drawing your bow to fire an arrow. When you take that kind of mechanic and apply it to VR, the experience is amplified to the next level.

    ●       *Haptic feedback:* The new controller will have haptic feedback optimized for its form factor, making every sensation in the game world more impactful, textured and nuanced. When you’re traversing through rocky desert or trading blows in melee combat, you’ll feel the difference, magnifying the extraordinary visual and audio experience that’s so central to VR.

    ●       *Finger touch detection:* The controller can detect your fingers without any pressing in the areas where you place your thumb, index, or middle fingers. This enables you to make more natural gestures with your hands during gameplay.

    ●       *Tracking:* The VR controller is tracked by the new VR headset through a tracking ring across the bottom of the controller.

    ●       *Action buttons / analog sticks:* The Left controller contains one analog stick, the triangle and square buttons, a “grip” button (L1), trigger button (L2) and Create button. The Right controller contains one analog stick, the cross and circle buttons, a “grip” button (R1), trigger button (R2) and Options button. The “grip” button can be used to pick up in-game objects, as one example.

    *PlayStation VR2 Specifications*

    *Display method:* OLED

    *Panel resolution:* 2000 x 2040 per eye

    *Panel refresh rate:* 90hz, 120hz

    *Lens separation:* adjustable

    *Field of view:* 110 degrees

*Sensors:* Motion Sensor: Six-axis motion sensing system (three-axis gyroscope, three-axis accelerometer)
    Attachment Sensor: IR Proximity sensor

*Cameras:* 4 cameras for headset and controller tracking
IR camera for eye tracking per eye

    *Feedback:* Vibration on headset

*Communication with PlayStation 5:* USB TYPE-C

    *Audio:* Input: Built-in microphone
    Output: Stereo headphone jack

    *PlayStation VR2 Sense Controllers Specifications*

    *Buttons:* [Right]
PS button, Options button, Action buttons (Circle / Cross), R1 button, R2 button, Right Stick / R3 button
[Left] PS button, Create button, Action buttons (Triangle / Square), L1 button, L2 button, Left Stick / L3 button

*Sensing/ Tracking:* Motion Sensor: Six-axis motion sensing system (three-axis gyroscope + three-axis accelerometer) Capacitive Sensor: Finger Touch Detection IR LED: Position Tracking

*Feedback:* Trigger Effect (on R2/L2 button), Haptic Feedback (by single actuator per unit)

    *Port:* USB Type-C®

This is going to be an epic VR headset with epic games. Super excited for this!
