I’m glad this revision is fodder, makes me not feel bad over getting a normal one meer weeks ago

      October 10, 2023 at 9:27 pm

Got mine last week. Would rather get a discount on the OG PS5 with a game than a PS5 at full price

    October 10, 2023 at 9:04 pm

Will you be able to take out the disc drive on the one that comes with it

  5. Likealokey

    October 10, 2023 at 9:05 pm

This is by far the most absurd from Sony, why can’t they just reduce the prize and size

    • franklingoodwin

      October 10, 2023 at 9:30 pm

Why would they reduce the price at launch?

A lot of people are gonna be flabbergasted after they recieve their PlayStation portable and realize it’s not an independent device

But does it come in matte black?

Can the Ps5 disc version removable if we want to? Cause if it doesnt, the discless version is the superior version then even though it will be more expensive once added everything.

    • Gen Uchiha

      October 10, 2023 at 9:24 pm

No I don’t think the disc ps5s drive can me removed like u can with the ps5 digital

  9. DreBone1986

    October 10, 2023 at 9:11 pm

I’m good, just make the disc drive backwards compatible with the OG digital one day and I have zero complaints

    • franklingoodwin

      October 10, 2023 at 9:29 pm

True. There’s no reason it shouldn’t be

    October 10, 2023 at 9:12 pm

No reduced price, no buy… they literally increased the price of the digital slim LOL

    Playstation slimfuckery, okay, thank god.

  12. Dan-The-Man

    October 10, 2023 at 9:13 pm

There’s like 1 exclusive game on it: demons souls. Everything else i can just play on pc or ps4. Who cares about consoles, esp when they aren’t cheaper in their revisions

    • Winsbeyond82

      October 10, 2023 at 9:19 pm

Gran Turismo 7, Rachet and Clank: Rift Apart, Gotham Knights, Spiderman 2. All PS5 exclusives.

  13. Electrex

    October 10, 2023 at 9:17 pm

With a detachable disc drive we should be able to play PS1, PS2, and PS3 discs

Damn I was literally gonna cop one but part of me said wait…

  18. Dick Riggles

    October 10, 2023 at 9:32 pm

Where are the games? Just the same remake every year disguised as a new game or actual remake that no one wanted. Rockstar doesn’t even care, they will wait ten years to make a sequel. Am about to sell my PS5, what a ripoff. These monopolies need to end.

  19. Christian Urban

    October 11, 2023 at 11:48 am

Why wait? Buy the regular PS5 if you can a get a good deal. No real reason to wait for the new one.

  20. Aaron Melson

    October 11, 2023 at 12:15 pm

So basically if you want the disc version, its gonna cost you $530? (450+80) and if you want the stand to stand it up its gonna cost another $30 for a total of $560? HUH??? I just purchased my disc PS5 may 11 2023 and paid the retail $500. This slim version has the same performance and mines apparently so why does it cost more? Whenever Sony came out with a slim down version it was always cheaper.

    • Guangsi Han

      October 11, 2023 at 9:03 pm

Why can’t you just buy the disc version instead of digital plus disc drive?

  21. Lane Mosser

    October 11, 2023 at 12:41 pm

Glad I got the original disc version. The new bump-out for the disc drive looks terrible in my opinion.

  22. Dan Reeves

really dissapointed on the design…it seems that ps is taking a lot of bad decisions lately starting with ps portable

  26. Boba Squid

    October 11, 2023 at 2:31 pm

Will the add on blu ray player for the digital model play games or only blu ray movies?

  27. Tony Young

    October 11, 2023 at 2:33 pm

Well when the PS5 pro releases it better be fully 8k

  28. Peter Smith

  31. nick6ondz

    October 11, 2023 at 3:29 pm

I really wish you could setup the disc drive near the couch 🙄

  32. Chris Tenorio

    October 11, 2023 at 3:45 pm

Who cares…. Give me a thick badass PS5 Pro Plus that costs $2k to $3k that can rival PC gaming. Could care less about the size of the darn thing.

  39. Jon Stevens

    October 11, 2023 at 7:14 pm

I want the release model. I’d better hurry tf up 😂

I have some doubts about the cooling performance in this new PS5…

  41. Zeitgeist TV

    October 11, 2023 at 8:12 pm

Digital version got a price increase of $50 but the drive cost $80 and the stand is $30, it makes no sense to upgrade later vs buying the full phat version. Glad I bought my digital version with God of War.

  42. Sahil Patel

    October 11, 2023 at 8:48 pm

Why ps5 digital edition is not available all of a sudden in usa
