The United States is pushing forward with AI legislation and investments, while Europe remains reliant on others and continues to see its geopolitical influence decline.

Not true, but it’s very nice of Americans to think that. The U.S. is phenomenal at marketing hype, thus their own institutions have bought it.

Oh.
What areas is Europe leading in, in regards to AI, outside of regulations?
I’ll wait.

@@BLACKSHIELDS Mistral is an excellent LLM. The customized variants, like the OCR version, are top performers. The Arabic version is a nice niche product that targets a region of the world underserved by US based (and Chinese) model makers. Black Forest Labs is making remarkable progress.

That’s not what I asked.
I asked what area Europe is *leading* in, not what area they have “excellent” offerings in. Your answer makes it sound like Europe is leading in the field of “offering excellent LLMs”, and I think that distinction goes to the United States, or potentially, China.
So, again, I’ll ask once more:
What area is Europe leading in?

It’s a feeding frenzy of massive greed and power to cover our nation with AI data centers. This will not stand we will fight it. Our health and safety and natural resources are at stake

The naive Left fails to grasp that America’s God-given economic dominance requires serious deregulation to outpace China’s authoritarian regime.

AI (and robotics) will destroy the middle class – there are not going to be magically millions of new jobs to accommodate the 10’s of millions of people displaced by AI and robotics over the decade; its called Technological Unemployment. When you destroy the middle class, you destroy the engine of this country; debt will rise because people will need to use buy now pay laters apps and credit cards to survice; millions of people in tech, clerical, food service, logistics, etc are going to be fighting over fewer and fewer jobs, lower paying at that because robots and AI will be cheaper in the long run than your salary. But people don’t understand that, nor does Trump. Big Tech wants what it gets…why do you think Big Tech got behind Trump? Why do you think Palantir is building a database on all of you? Why do you think his Genius Act paves the way for a government controlled crypto scheme (I read it on my channel to inform people) – they need to put in a blockchain control surveillance state to keep you tens of millions of angry unemployed people under control. You all need to wake up – America is finished! You think things are bad now?
