Rideshare app Lyft is working on a new feature that could help eliminate the pain of surge pricing. With Price Lock, the company says you’ll be able to pay a monthly fee in order to cap the price on a specific route at a specific time of day. The company is testing the feature across the US and won’t roll out final pricing until next month, but the price should be less than $5 per month.

Lyft driver here the surge pricing is all taken by Lyft they take 60-70 percent of the entire fare fee especially during prime time surges at late night, if you want cheaper prices order the ride let your driver get there and offer them 70 percent of what the ride costs guarantee there take you up on it and you and the driver will be happy Lyft and Uber are scamming the customer and drivers even though the drivers supposed to be an independent contractor which is supposed to set there own prices
