iPhone 14 pro max have had since launch and at 91%. That being said I know that on my 13 pro max my battery lasted way longer.

They should enable a feature where you only charge to 80% everytime. On days you know you will be unplugged for the whole day, like going to a festival or something there should be an option to force charge to 100%. EV cars are like this.

All phones use lithium ion batteries, yet we are talking about this being a big issue only on iphone users, not on android 😂

We used to have REMOVABLE BATTERIES, its thanks to apple’s planned obsolecense we got today’s industry standart of non removable batteries, so yeah its their fault, they SHOULD do something about this

My 14 Pro Max is still at 100% 6 months after I bought it. Some is already at 90% just after 6 months, maybe I’m just lucky.

  19. Rob Julian Maghinang

    August 18, 2023 at 8:36 pm

Sadly, we have to stop hoping that a more efficient processor and bigger batteries will improve the battery life. Recently, the new features of iPhones such as 5G and high refresh rate will offset whatever battery and processor improvement Apple gives

  20. Adam Tajyar

    August 18, 2023 at 8:38 pm

Apple should be offering the $29 battery replacement again.

The iPhone I had before what I currently have (iPhone 13 Pro Max) was the iPhone 7 Plus. Yea. I held off on upgrading for a lot long than what most people did. When I was ready to upgrade, mainly it was the lack of a lot of features but most importantly my iPhone 7 Plus could maintain a charge for like 30 minutes or so. It said it was 100% charged but I wouldn’t be surprised if it wasn’t actually 100%. The battery capacity was like 30% unless I’m mistaken.

I bought mine in Jan 2023 and it’s at 99%. I also use Beta ever sense, which Apple warns that can also affect battery health.

Or you could accidentally run your phone over and only pay $150 and get a brand new phone with a brand new battery still cheaper than buying a brand new phone

I charge my iphone when it gets to 80% so I only use 20% of a full charge & my iphone battery is still at 100% after 2 years

everytime major software upgrade like 15 to 16 i found significant health percentage reduced 5% within 5 months

  44. Fear of the Dark

    August 19, 2023 at 8:12 pm

nope something is wrong with the launch 14 pro models like mine. I am also at 90% battery capacity. My previous 12 pro was at 96% at this point of time of 1 year of ownership. There has to be a bad batch of batteries out there for the 14pro models since you can see there are many people with 99 or 100% battery as well. We definitely need free replacements. FYI i dont use wireless charging. Mainly regular fast charging.

  45. Nasser Marzook

    August 19, 2023 at 8:12 pm

I have the 14 pro max, got it in January, right now it’s at 90% battery health. I don’t think changing the battery is a big deal I think we waste more energy worrying about the battery health then we do actually changing the battery. And yes changing the battery isn’t for free but you only need to set aside 5 dollars a month for it. It’s a small price to pay to carry a powerful computer in your pocket. I’m sure things on the android side are equally as bad for many phones but most android owners don’t care about the battery health that much.

  46. ExistentialPerplexity

    August 19, 2023 at 8:27 pm

My 14 Pro is at roughly 6 months old and 100% battery health thankfully. I believe my phone insurance through my carrier covers battery replacement as well, so I think I’m good there!

  47. David Lopez

Im excited for solid-state batteries to hit the market although i dont expect Apple to be one of the first to offer them. 😅

How accurate is the iPhone’s battery health SW algorithm in the first place?

  49. Maverick Dakota

    August 19, 2023 at 9:04 pm

There is no normal, people use their phones differently. I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max with a battery health of 75%.

Charging my IPhone 12 that I got in 2020 every night when I go to bed and taking off when I leave for work…80% battery health seems fair to me💁🏻‍♂️

  52. Bojler

    August 20, 2023 at 8:32 am

Mine 13 Pro Max exactly at 88% 😅 I will only get a new one after the new EU regulation will be in place

  53. Hunter Jay

    August 20, 2023 at 8:51 am

My iPhone 12 mini is at 77% battery capacity. To be fair, it’s been running beta iOS for almost its entire life. I don’t feel much pressure to do anything yet, I have plenty of places to charge during the day and performance isn’t degraded. I do plan to swap the battery and use this phone until it gets no more updates, which should be another three years if it matches my previous 6S.

  54. Eric Ling

    August 20, 2023 at 9:11 am

If your battery health is above 80%… keep your phone. If it bugs you, change your battery.

  55. Samuel L Jackson's Chameleon

    August 20, 2023 at 9:44 am

My 13 Pro is down to 90% after less than a year of relatively light use. Very frustrating.

  56. Sean Doan

    August 20, 2023 at 9:44 am

5G, for what we were promised, is such trash and probably is killing our batteries.

  57. fredericoamigo

It’s iOS 16, I haven’t updated my iPhone 13 and after one year of everyday use and it’s at 98%. I think iOS is the reason of these issues

  60. Nomer Guiwa

my 14 pro is at 87% huhu

  61. tippersteffi1

    August 20, 2023 at 12:46 pm

Wow, it’s like you made this video for me….I have a iPhone 12 Pro and also have 85% left, it was at 90% for almost 2 years. At this point I’m planning on purchasing a iPhone 15 Pro Max in Sept, however there is nothing wrong with this phone especially if I replace the battery at some point

  62. Alvee One

    August 20, 2023 at 12:59 pm

There’s an easy explanation. Apple implemented too many Android features at once on the 14 Pro.
    1. High refresh display
    2. Always on display
    3. Live widgets (aka dynamic island)
There’s a reason most Android phones have 4000-5000 mah batteries! 🤦‍♂️

Using my iPhone 14 pro since February till now. Still at 100% maximum capacity. It’s a matter of how you charge it, if you take care or not so much

  66. Harry Rodriguez

    August 20, 2023 at 2:12 pm

After using my iPhone 12 Pro for three years, its battery health decreased to 83%. I recently paid $89.00 at the Apple Store to have it replaced and plan on keeping my phone for another three years.
