Great format! I did enjoy the shorter, quick hit version. Lots of good info in a shorter video. 👍🏼

After using iPhone 16e for about a month, I was disappointed by how poorly photos performed and looked on a low end 4k tv. The image was trying to brighten the colors a little and I put the tv in filmmaker mode. But all in all after screen mirroring Dolby vision to the tv I was even more disappointed by how washed out the colors were. If anyone needs to present on a tv a lot I recommend a pixel (which I came from) Apple is not yet done with their processing pipeline for lower end displays. Screen mirroring uses hdr instead of sdr though, so that could be why? But forking out for a $1000+ tv because of an iPhone isn’t worth it

I’m going to try screen mirroring some old pixel 6a photos onto the tv and see how they turn out, next week

Sorry for the rant but I’m going to investigate more for the fight between Pixel and iPhone in this video

Cameras have always been bad with lower end iPhones, my favourite iPhone was the original SE which had a terrible camera but I never really took pictures anyways

Finally someone who shows the truth about this phone, it was not made to be a hit product, it was made to promote the sales of the base model 16.

16e having one camera differentiates it from the two camera 16 and the three camera pro one

It’s likely you can get the Pixel 9a much lower than the MSRP of $499; likewise you can get the iphone 16e below $599, all depending on various carriers’ or stores’ discount promotions.

Let’s be honest with ourselves here, it’s going to be the pixel for 2 reasons. 1, it takes meaningfully better photos. 2 It’s not an iPhone. Thought TBH there are many other phones at this price point that would likely take the photo crown from either

These are not true 48MP cameras. It’s a lie, and you all know it. These are NOT 48MP sensors — at most, they are 12–18MP. And you are part of those ad-lies.
@joesmith4443
April 28, 2025 at 12:29 pm
They probably are however not optimized for 48MP which would be really dumb when all you’re paying for his a spec component not what can actually do

I generally prefer short-form videos, so this review was pleasant. While I understand that you were focusing on each device’s camera, the operating system and ecosystem should also be considered when deciding on a phone.
@YouTuber1303
April 28, 2025 at 4:46 pm
Honestly the slightly heftier price is worth it to stay inside the Apple ecosystem, if you’re already in it. I can’t bear Android, and I’ve had work phones that used it, so I’ve given time to try them.
