The iPhone 16 Pro’s display has a minimum brightness of 1 nit, not 1 Hz. Clearly we’ve been working Patrick too much and broke his brain — hence he said the wrong thing.

      October 25, 2024 at 12:28 am

Also, he said that the iPhone 16 Pros are featuring the A17 Pro chip, when the iPhone 16 Pro series actually incorporates the A18 Pro chip!

Same phone again, we should all collectively not buy it so Apple can get a hint

I got rid of the iPhone after the stale update cycle ripping consumers off. My iPhone 15 pro max had horrible battery life and would not last a day. I traded for Samsung flip 6. I have 1.5 days of battery life. Which is way better than a iPhone 15 pro max. Can’t compare to iPhone 16 pro max. Apple fails to put out reliable software updates. My Mac mini m1 was missing updates because of a software bug. Had to wait 2 months for the software to get a update to fix it. Not acceptable.

You can go into accessibility features and lower your brightness even more. I have it on a button sequence where I can hit my power button three times to go into and even lower bright setting on my iPhone 15 they just made it so everybody can do it without programming it to do it yourself through accessibilities

    “A17 Pro Chip“ 🤔

  20. @Redgyart

    October 24, 2024 at 7:15 pm

Didn’t watch the video after 1 min. Asked gemini and Chatgpt to summarize it

“The reviewer of the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max has been testing these phones for a month. They highlight the battery life, which has performed excellently, especially in demanding tests. Another key feature is the “summarize” tool in the beta version of Apple Intelligence, useful for summarizing text, emails, and online stories. The reviewer appreciates the new 1Hz lower brightness screen, which helps reduce glare, especially in dark environments, and praises the speakers for their quality and volume. However, the new camera control button feels unnecessary as its placement isn’t ideal. For those considering an upgrade, the reviewer recommends upgrading if you have an iPhone 12 Pro or older, while those with more recent models may not find it as essential to upgrade until Apple Intelligence is fully released.”

    October 24, 2024 at 7:16 pm

Buying a phone has become like buying a car in the sense that the year on year differences are so minimal. With a car you’ll ideally own it for way longer but phones now don’t start to have meaningful differences until 3,4, or 5 years later.

The camera and photographic styles are my favorite features on my iPhone 16 Pro Max coming from an iPhone 13 Pro Max.

  23. @MrKen59

    October 24, 2024 at 7:57 pm

What’s your sense on the 16 Pro Max size? I have the 13 pro max and it feels heavy and too big to handle – especially one handed.

  24. @c-power8393

Samsung internet already have the summarize function.

  28. @erasmus9627

    October 24, 2024 at 11:31 pm

So many mistakes in this video. The word summarise is not spelt summerize, and screen brightness is measured in nits not hertz, and the list goes on. Forget Apple Intelligence, how about some intelligence from CNet.

    • @CNET

      October 25, 2024 at 10:12 am

Summarize is spelled correctly and we added a correction as a pinned comment about the word nits.

    October 24, 2024 at 11:39 pm

You couldn’t be more wrong on the camera button. I often need to take pictures with one hand and it’s so easy with 16 pro max. Maybe you have 8” long fingers with 5 joints and can find a non-tactile button without looking at it.

  30. @moxzilla6

    October 25, 2024 at 1:00 am

If you have the 13 KEEP the 13 it is not worth the upgrade especially this early on. Biggest regret for me my phone was paid off and mine but the camera broke and it was either upgrade or replace it. It was 300 more to upgrade so I did. But it was not really worth it.

I upgraded from the regular 13 to the 16 Pro and I can confidently say it gets you through your day, no problem. I get up at 5 and go to bed at around 10:30 still with 10 percent at least, might be cutting it close, sure, but it does last

Kinda funny how you can immediately tell an Apple apologist when they say it’s OKAY that you don’t get the features out of the box which they heavily advertised. Meanwhile, the competition had the feature for a full 10 months prior. But if the competition made this failed promise, trust they will be the same people to trash talk other companies. Y’all are a different breed I swear 😬

I’m coming from a Samsung fold I can tell you why people like apple but android is by far better. Hardware apple is better then most android phones. I’m going to rock my my 16 pro max a few more weeks and back to my Samsung fold.

  39. @alexanderfazel

    October 25, 2024 at 1:30 pm

16 Pro Max is fantastic. Great battery life, better thermal (also WiFi and 5G) performance, 1 hz display is very useful, Audio Mix is phenomenal and the Camera Control is good, for right now. It will get much better with two stage shutter, some tweaks and Visual Intelligence, which is now in beta on iOS 18.2 I recommend adjusting additional settings for CC button in Accessibility Settings.
