Hmmm. With the amount of money he spent on this project he could have helped to end child hunger and homelessness all over the world. Babylon priorities is wrong as usual.

This is impressive. Wish space missions could be like this. Very safe and clean.

While the Earth is burning, add more fuel to it by going to useless space.

    • Alexander Ulv

      July 12, 2021 at 12:45 am

It’s not useless though. We may need space if we mess up this planet.. I hate to bring it to you, but spacetravel is not the last drop that makes our environment flow over. Also we would be useless without satellites, and this is making space flight significantly cheaper .

He didn’t go to space, he went into the mesosphere. Space is 62 miles above sea level.

    • Monkey Guy80

      July 12, 2021 at 5:31 am

Agreed with you. Nothing exciting about. It’s just Mesosphere & it’s ticket cost $100k+ ????????????????‍♂️

@Graeme Johnson you really hate this don’t you

    • Graeme Johnson

      July 12, 2021 at 1:45 am

@FORALL2HEAR TV the vomit comet is a plane you can do parabolic curve in and be weightless..
So called because astronauts on first flight, in the plane they threw up..
      Look up Crapy Robots..

Yeah, we’re still waiting one someone to ACTUALLY GO INTO ‘SPACE’….

  17. Graeme Johnson

    July 12, 2021 at 1:20 am

I am sorry but the flight was a big snooze..
You can do the same in the “vomit commet ”
Plane that does a Parabolic curve in flight and you get zero weight on top of curve.. and shitload cheaper..

This feat is bigger than the coverage it received. It’s a shame others can not fully understand what has been accomplished. Henry Ford would have been proud!

    • Shawn Menachery

      July 14, 2021 at 12:40 pm

What exactly did he accomplish, that hasn’t been done before

    • REAL Talk

      July 14, 2021 at 12:46 pm

@Shawn Menachery You should feel ashamed for asking.

    • Shawn Menachery

      July 14, 2021 at 2:29 pm

@REAL Talk What the first Billionaire in the mesosphere. Humans made a similar sub-orbital flight 60 years ago. This is just a bragging for an already rich and successful person, that dosen’t affect anyone but Billionaires ego’s. I feel no shame in asking what kind of accomplishment is something that literally has no impact on anyone

  21. Cloutier Pierre

    July 12, 2021 at 2:32 am

Virgin Galactic flight showed that you could travel from one continent to another by using space in a few minutes. Would you fly Virgin Galactic to go to Europe or Australia ? This is what those flights by Sir Richard Branson or Jeff Bezos are about: the use of space to travel people or cargo on earth. I dont know if Elon Musk’s Starlink satellites will cause an issue for such flights?

    • EVOLICIOUS

I don’t think it is that significant. It’s just little hops with not plans to go further.

I guess making this work and more mainstream allows to take it a step further and cheaper.

I very agree with your last words. As fascinating these developments from all these billionaires are – we have lot of more important things to solve now than space travel for «everyone».

  27. Bill Pemberton

    July 12, 2021 at 4:43 am

Having watched plenty of SpaceX launches, it’s hard to take this seriously as “Space Travel”. No helmets, no space suits, it’s just a fancy airplane ride that Hollywood has done years ago.

So what are you trying to say here? This is fake? Let me also guess, you don’t think we ever went to the moon? Let me also guess, you think that God is some superior being who makes sure we can’t do anything?

Those of us who live in Las Cruces are wondering, and perhaps you will answer. Did you come in thru El Paso International Airport? Some scum billionaire wants to show off his wealth and investment into a failed “vacation to upper atmosphere for rich people” attention seeker adventure.

  37. Bob Boberson

    July 13, 2021 at 12:50 am

Excellent. This is all about tourism. Period. And that’s a great thing in itself. The commercial guys (SpaceX) have the science covered.

  38. EVOLICIOUS

    July 13, 2021 at 3:09 am

Wow, what a waste of time to watch some billionaire fly in his expensive plane to go to the upper atmosphere. These halfwit stans really have no self respect.
