Why would you need to signal “Call”? Seems like you’d just need “Raise” or “Fold”.

A skilled player would be very suspicious of this. Howerver a skilled player using this might be able to stay less obvious.

The dealer always cuts the deck when it comes out of the shuffler.

How about the casino fixing the machines? Move the UTH hands based on who is playing?

Yeah, it’s not that simple. Just like that suspicious televised hand, the way he was playing while cheating would have raised a ton of eyebrows with pro players. Doubling the pot on every card with nothing but a straight draw probably would have been the final straw. Nobody does that, especially when they’re getting called every time. Maybe you bluff on the flop with 100k but when the player behind you calls that and then bets into you in the turn? I’m not even a pro and the betting pattern and play style was highly suspicious. It looked like someone who knew nothing about poker but was getting help somehow. Maybe I only say that because I went into it knowing he was cheating but I think if you could run this same experiment with some real players, they’ll sniff it out quickly.

This doesn’t really mean anything. A solved deck for 4 handed poker? Nice except poker is almost never played 4 handed and then using the camera will be nullified by the cut again.

  9. @MrBeatboxmasta

    October 10, 2025 at 6:28 pm

Pro players after a while will call just to see what you have. If you keep winning with marginal hands, they will play very aggressively vs you. If you keep calling and winning with the marginal hands and someone never lose at showdown, they will know something is up.

Therefore, to balance it, the signaler should signal based on the likelihood of the opponents folding the best hand and calling with worse…..not based on who has the best hand. That way, when the pros do what I mentioned above, you will sometimes lose at showdown. The pros will simply think you’re a maniac as opposed to being a cheater. Nobody always wins, so you need to lose once in a while. Just make sure your loses are smaller than your wins.

    October 10, 2025 at 6:32 pm

Great video! But Robbi didn’t allegedly cheat through a rigged deckmate 1 (HCL used a deckmate 1, not 2). She was allegedly signaled through a couple other methods.

A lot of casinos have gone back to the first Deckmate version so that this can’t happen

  14. @chadroggs

    October 10, 2025 at 7:11 pm

Very interesting. I’d like to see you play against at least 4 other REAL poker players. Any decent player could carve Fernando’s 10 high anytime. Without cheating. It’d be nice to really put it to test against good players.

  15. @jfbeam

    October 10, 2025 at 7:14 pm

The minute he said there’s a camera in the thing… Game. Over. That’s the dumbest thing a shuffle company could ever do. When the machine can tell what each card is, and grab a single card, it’s only a matter of seconds before someone rigs the damned thing. While Sal _says_ he hasn’t heard of it, I’m 100% positive it’s being done. Remember, there was the guy working for the NV Gaming Commission who rigged the very machines he was supposed to be ensuring were _NOT_ rigged. You’d never know if a _dealer_ was rigging their table. In this case, the cheating and signalling is subtle but still very noticeable – every time the deck is shuffled, he folds the first hand and then goes to his phone. (good security would spot the 1-2-3 chip signal as well. it’s a very recognizable pattern, esp. when one guy is cleaning out the table.)

  18. @youarewinston

    October 10, 2025 at 7:44 pm

FYI they definitely went out and updated all the machines – they’re serviced regularly. This is more of a concern in private games where they definitely shouldn’t be trusted – but some private games are now better regulated than casinos (absolutely no electronics in the room)

I see a bunch of anti-poker people in the comments, please watch the full video.
Online poker is very safe, the card distribution isn’t getting hacked online.
There are other concerns but not this, poker is extremely easy to beat the game long term because the standards are lower than ANY other game.

Would it not be much more effective to just be able to setup a random winning hand when a button is pressed and do it every now and then for crazy returns like you could have the button built into a watch or something it would be so subtle nearly impossible to notice if your keeping the amount of times you do it to a minimum

All the deck shuffler needs to be able to do is blindly mix the cards. Making it capable of anything else is an opening for cheating by the house or the player. Keep it simple and keep it fair.

  77. @damien4197

    October 13, 2025 at 9:59 am

Not going to lie, if the solved deck only works on the button, and you have 8+ people at a table… then you just need to make sure you reel in a loose player when you’re on button each time, with pure confidence, and if you win and lose some random small hands around that… should be fine.

Just give me the best hand every time. Just because I have the best hand doesn’t mean I need to play it. I can take a hand all the way to river, call a bet with the winning hand, and then muck after the other player reveals his hand. I can fold my hand on any street as well. There is no way anyone would know I had the best hand every time, and I only need to win enough to walk away a winner at the end of the night. Oh yeah, and Robbi didn’t cheat with the J4o, she just called with a hand that she should have folded because was extremely stupid and didn’t have a clue what she was doing..

One big miss is that the USB port should be in use at all times. There is a display that the dealer uses for information about the machine, such as if there is a card missing or upside down. Also gives the operator the ability to sort the deck and maintenance the machine. So in a casino environment you would have to use the ethernet port.

  90. @angryparsnip9363

it’s amazing that they allow players to use cell phones during a game, whether or not they are part of a game is irrelevant. Yet you try that thing at a blackjack table, or any other game where the house’s money is on the line and they’ll tell you to put your phone away whether you are playing or not.

I doubt anyone will read this but Poker in general online or in person is rigged.. I’ve actually had mgm give me money back due to a “miss shuffle” – the river card literally glitched and changed on me.
That being said I still win long term by knowing it’s rigged I’ve set a strategy that works – generally with online it lets you get small wins but if you get greedy it will take it right back. The cards seem to fall in and out of favor …

So what I do is take a small win each day instead of trying to get what I really deserve to win – because I know the opponent will 2 outer me on the river 80 percent of the time once I’ve already won.

The stakes don’t seem to matter so much but I find 30-60BB win per day is ideal. And the moment I start losing I walk away. I’ve tested this through half a million hands to date and it’s definitely not a coincidence.

They will also try to set you up with say aces – kings or queens to lose so I snap fold to an overpair on the flop I’m just so used it at this Point.

You gotta realize casinos make more money on the rake with big pots so they have incentive to cheat. Also by letting fish beat pros like myself a way higher percentage than they should – they keep the fish in longer which ultimately generates more money.

Not to mention mathematics has proven all roulette wheels at least the ones tested in Vegas are rigged unless you believe in lignite striking 1000 times ina. Row day after day – the math does not check out as a legitimate non rigged wheel.

So the same people that rig roulette , sports , and everything else are in charge of being the trusted ones .. I’m not buying it

    October 14, 2025 at 12:24 pm

Doesn’t the display on the sorter prominently show when something is plugged into any of the ports that would alert the dealer? Seems like that would be a basic security feature, and a huge oversight if it doesn’t, all things considered.

  105. @wormholewest

  133. @famousamoso7

    October 15, 2025 at 12:47 pm

Wouldn’t it be prudent for casinos to just have mechanical shufflers that have no cameras and just load them with like 10 decks worth of cards? Then you make it almost impossible for a card counter to count cards. The more decks in play the hard it is to track them.

  134. @odyssey232001

    October 15, 2025 at 12:53 pm

Mikki mase has said the card shufflers can be hacked giving the casinos an edge, as sal showed the game can be controlled by the dealer knowing we’re cards are in the deck and the casinos isn’t going to admit that they are cheating.

What if you compromise the machine with a rigged deck of cards that a player could read the top of the cards, because when dealt are face down knowing if they have the best hand, example Phil Ivey vs Daniel negraneau. 🤔

  138. @strawbaria

    October 15, 2025 at 2:11 pm

I’m suspicious why they want to “choose” the randomness by code – iirc the casino wants to have a deck as “uniformly” random as possible to make the most money, so I guess they thought forcing a specific “random” order to an existing not-so-random deck of cards was better than actually shuffling it randomly (and preserving the kinda no-randomness)?

If you want it to be unhackable, don’t put a camera in it and ditch the sorting function.

Edit- 10:55 that’s what I said! If you really want to check for missing/duplicate cards, there needs to be a step after the camera where some untracked pseudorandomness is introduced. That could just mean a more complicated cut, or it could just mean having two completely independent systems inside the box, and have the camera system completely unable to communicate other than a speaker that alerts the dealer if the deck is non-standard.

  145. @ДмитрийВознесенский-ч1о

    October 15, 2025 at 6:25 pm

I don’t get it, dealer could cut 1 or 2 cards higher or lower and it would change order of winning hand, how does that calculating?

  146. @KyleBaran90

    October 15, 2025 at 6:38 pm

  147. @lemagreengreen

    October 15, 2025 at 8:57 pm

Neat but unrealistic as far as a player being able to exploit it. You are not going to be able to access that USB port, the shuffler is installed next to the dealer and you’re not rooting around under the table there. Now of course this could be very realistic if we’re talking about the casino themselves cheating…

  148. @TheCloudPuff

    October 15, 2025 at 9:17 pm

If you add the visual check to be sure there are no duplicates before the shuffling (and you add a “mid” shuffle that is mechanical) you can make a product like this effectively unhackable.

You just need to make sure it doesn’t really know the order of the cards after they are scanned, basically change the order even slightly but still randomly (like picking 2 cards instead of 3 and viceversa) and it then shouldn’t be able to tell which cards it’s moving around at any moment when applying the randomly generated order

Now do it with a meta glasses band to input ur data and a smart watch with a black unreponsive screen that you need to input a special code to unlock and that will stop vibrating if it detects a lock code or random inputs trying to get it to do something

so all they needed to do is to remove the ability of the shuffler to know the cards itself… it can’t sort the deck afterwards, but it’s a blind, secure pseudo-random sort

how did you account for the dealer cutting the deck?

cheating by putting a camera in the card shuffler is the premise of DEAD MONEY(2024) movie. The ploy that the poker pro Bobby Kirkland plants a camera in the card shuffler to read the hands would likely not be effective since, as a rule, most dealers are instructed to usually give the deck a quick riffle and a deck cut to again randomize the deck…
