The video I watched was about retirement and talked about by Riley Moynes. Riley Moynes was a bit of an old-school presenter as he talked in a way where he would mention the present and then a bit of the past in story mode. He would also converse to the audience in a way where he would ask questions in a rhetorical way. I like that he did that as it made us think about what he was saying and it would lead us on to what he was gonna talk about later. He would also bring up some examples on the screen, showing evidence and proof of the details he talks about which exemplifies his argument of what he is trying to present.

I think the body language was okay as there was some movement to the point it didn’t feel like a monotone video. However, I feel like there could’ve been a bit more in order to capture the audience’s attention and feel as if it was bland. I think there was a bit of lack of humour except for a bit in the video, but there were some multimedia which I think spiced up the presentation.

His presentation was fine, it works very well. We don’t need bells & whistles to be engaged, often a simple talk without a lot of elements is more impactful than those with a multimedia presentation.each has their place.

    John 14:6
6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

    Romans 10:9-10, 13
9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved… 13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

    Acts 16:31
31 …”Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved”…

    Mark 1:15
15 “The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!”

    2 Peter 3:9
9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

    1 Timothy 2:3-4
3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.

    John 3:16-18
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.

    John 3:36
36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.

    Acts 4:11-12
11 Jesus is “‘the stone you builders rejected, which has become the cornerstone.’ 12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”

    1 John 5:11-13
11 And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. 13 I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.

    1 John 4:10
10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

    Philippians 2:9-11
9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

    2 Corinthians 5:21
21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

    Matthew 10:32-33
32 “Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. 33 But whoever disowns me before others, I will disown before my Father in heaven.”

    1 John 4:15
15 If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God.

    1 John 1:7
7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

    1 Peter 2:24
24 “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”

    1 Corinthians 1:18
18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

    Hebrews 9:27-28
27 Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, 28 so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

One needs much more than $$$ for a happy and ‘successful’ retirement. Neither does one need to do anything important or significan to anyone but yourself. My retirement started with a cross country move just as Covid became a thing. It was the best thing to happen and I am so thankful for Covid occurring. We were forced to find ourselves and our new location. It has been a great ride.

I am not a retiree, I am in my twenties. But, I don’t know how, But I feel like I have retired and going through these phases myself too. I gave up in some exciting career path earlier in my teens. And since then everything I do in my adult life is to somehow turn my way back to it. And make it to “Phase 4”
    Wish me luck

Everyone needs a purpose in life. Retirement to me is not retirement of work but retirement from the constraints of being employed by a company. For my retirement I strive for freedom from constraints but not freedom from responsibility or purpose. I see myself having a small niche business that I’ve dreamed of all my life but haven’t had the time to fulfill. I don’t ever see myself retiring from work just instead working to my own beat.
