Corporate propagandists are getting very good at hiding their identity so determining the actual source of the information, and what biases are involved is getting more difficult. Also, information travels so far and so fast these days that by the time misinformation is uncovered and disputed, the cat’s already out of the bag.

What clears up dis-info’s, is more-info’s: not finger-wagging moralism stances like this goofball.

I look forward to watching interviews with this guy ten years from now in an orange jumper being grilled about ‘human rights’ he champions for Ukraine. I’ll be reviewing Project Gladio{s} and Churchill’s ‘stay behind’ secret armies that placed bombs in train stations and pretended to be soviet terrorists… good thing a phalanx of NGO’s was able to swoop in after Cold War ended and support these gangs with new directions {and old fascist’ colors for some new color-revolutions} rebranded as Antifa.
Funny thing about German losing WWII, is that the Naughty-Boys party didn’t lose, but was repurposed, put in charge of Germany instead hanged, and was the first generations of NATO leadership: so when I look at expansion plans eastward pushing into Russia do a compare-n-contrast & I see NATO as Reich III.5

    Hail Hydra, bro.

      October 15, 2024 at 2:09 pm

As true as that often is, I’m sure some fascists would say the same. Silencing people’s words when they promote dangerous acts (fake medicines, violent acts, whatever) is a moral decision: one that can save lives.

    • @remyllebeau77

      October 15, 2024 at 2:25 pm

@@l01230123 That is a moral evil to stand against someone’s human right to speech.
You are supposed to answer speech with speech of your own, not silence your opposition.

@@remyllebeau77 There are plenty of exceptions to that very extreme rule. You lose your free speech when you take away the basic rights, especially lives, of others.

You don’t get the objectively best solutions in the marketplace of free ideas. You get a mix of good and terrible ideas, like slavery and genocide: two ongoing issues not being solved by words alone.

it’s wrong to expect everyone to act in good faith or without ignorance. When people like that rule a country, you tolerate genocides like in Palestine or WWII.

Every single TED talk that discusses American issues should start with this quote:

“330 households—or the top 0.0001% hold more wealth than the bottom 90% of the population.”

It underscores every single other issue in this country, down to every single last one , all of them, each individually, in totality, conclusively, completely, and comprehensively. The fact that there is NOT A SINGLE TED talk that specifically addresses these words even made in 2024… shows what TED talks are all about. ALOT OF ENTERTAINMENT that never gets to the point.

For example, using this golden fact to contextualize Peter Pomerantsev’s talk here: misinformation in the United States has been constnat, but really took off in 2015-2016 with the rise of specific candidates, who explicitly use it as their political strategy. This candidate rose to popularity because of mounting frustrations over rising inequality. Its a fact that will accurately juxtapose every single other topic into context supported by reports research and evidence.

I used to love listening to TED. I still like listening to intelligence at work, but none of what i see from this channel ever gets to the point. Its just another channel adding to the noise of the modern web and “entertainmentification” of issues and real problems.

Everything i said above is how i KNOW liberals and liberalism in america is losing the battles and the war. Even the fast talking misinformationist mentions the issue by accident or in passing.

Talking about propaganda, this person fails to see how they’re trying to frame war crimes against Russia while ignoring the crisis unfolding in Gaza. Whether the election was stolen or not, suggesting there was even one court case that actually proved that it wasnt is itself propaganda. The courts never allowed the issues to play out in court at all. The fact that half the country thinks it was stolen is more than enough reason whether the claims themseleves had anything to them or not.
