Didn’t know this had a name. I stumbled on using separate blankets a few years ago and found I slept better. We’ve kept doing this ever since.

Ok… The “Scandinavian method” is just the way we do things here in Finland 😂 It’s just much more sensible to sleep with your own blanket – you get a more restful sleep. Also, people have different body compositions, body temperatures, etc and thus different needs for the blanket.

Or, you can have separate beds, or separate rooms, or not have a partner at all, 3 more options there

Plus it might save on bills and you’d have more expendable income

This is exactly how my husband and I sleep and we love it! I had brought up the idea after hearing it from an American YouTuber and how she used it with her husband. Didn’t realize it actually had a name. Now it makes sense 🤯 Her husband is from Norway!

I use the Detroit Sleep Method. I keep a gun in the bedside table. I find this eliminates blanket hogging.

Just dont be fussy and share a blanket. You will sleep fine!

You’ve obviously never slept with someone who grabbed the blanket with a death grip and rolled themselves up in the entire blanket in the middle of the night every night.
