What’s determined as fake news? Msm posts articles all the time without citing where the info came from. They’re never considered false why is that?

Yep. Misinformation including Biden legitimately winning the 2020 election. Anybody who can rub 2 brain cells together doesn’t believe it, Democrats themselves don’t even believe it.

Turn off your tv for starters or at least listen critically to both sides of the stories. Research is invaluable.

Don’t trust the main stream media. Especially when they all start saying the exact same thing…

Like when a government says something and either the left wing media or right wing media all start repeating it verbatim as gospel until it doesn’t suit the narrative they’re trying to spin.

“…Everyone Lies…All the Time..” Excuse Us ! What you mean is, the hundreds of thousands who were victimized by the failing public school system, maybe LIE all the time, but fortunately thousands of Us were rescued and been blessed to have never attend the controversial and liberal agenda-ed public school system. And are positive ‘Satan is the father of all lies’.

Good point! These day we deal with too many misinformation. Many platform should filter many contents and give more credit to trusted publishers.

    April 6, 2022 at 10:01 pm

The worst offenders of spreading misinformation are the gatekeepers of information (journalists, politicians, experts, etc).

The difference between a hoax and the truth is about six months.

  19. pointlessfailure

    April 6, 2022 at 11:02 pm

You can either not pay attention to social media or you can go after the platforms that allow misinformation to be distributed, but wait, that would be biting the hand that feeds you, huh Cnet? (hosted on Youtube) Instead the media breaks it down to a granular level and blames the individual. It’s the same thing with global warming. We have global warming because you don’t recycle and you drive a truck, not because of the oil companies polluting the oceans/air. It’s your fault. It’s your fault Covid-19 spread as quick as it did because you didn’t wear a mask, not the CDC or WHO not quarantining it quick enough, it’s the individuals fault, never the company’s who sole purpose is to control these things. Your fault. This is (in itself) is propaganda.

It’s true❗by dint of repetition: Islam = terrorism
many people in the West believe so. but when I read the quran I found it to be wrong. Islam is a religion of peace, tolerance, science and knowledge.
Easy to know 🤔, just look at the source …

It’s great to see CNET focussing not just on tech but crucial items like fake news and how to spot and stop them. I am very happy to see this video and it shows how “society focused” CNET is…. Transitioning towards these videos also indicates a huge level of maturity of the channel and the eagerness and zeal to empower people to know what they’re looking @ on the net. Wonderful video, loved it.

Hey Alf Alf pay attention you might learn a thing or two. Concerning this fake news epidemic the solutions are simple every fake news Creator must use an editor and all editors are supplied via app these days and with a couple providers of apps so Target the app creators and you might be closer to the truth in other words don’t be blaming the consumers who purchase the album and sang along while driving out of tune making the artist undesirable to others because of the fan base that they generate isn’t the social Norm blame the marketers blame the advertisers go shake them up like Italian mob style
