    However, doing without the time change is not the most effective prevention of heart attacks or traffic accidents. It only affects the extreme concentration to this event.
    And if you can avoid it, that’s good. And one should do it.

    But the basic problem will remain: fixed times that dictate when a person must be awake to work for something. And he then, regardless of the biologically natural fluctuations of his biorythm and biochronology, continues to force himself to force his body and mind into the world at a fixed time. So to become awake, if the biorythm just does not provide it and he can be brought only by enormous effort to perform the requirement also.
    And forcing against natural and varying rythm is always the best method to heart attack or inattention in what one does. Because there always remain uncontrolled side effects and there remains the fight against the inner defaults of the biorythm.

    In this respect: The working hours would have to be variable. Maybe +/- two or three hours?
    Consequence would be, that there, where a minimum number of manpower must be present, an overcapacity must be planned.

    This would also have another beneficial effect: There is less pressure on the individual when there is overcapacity, which leads to work demands being distributed to more than a single person. This has the advantage that the daily “training time” that everyone needs does not become a problem in the process flow, because sometimes it does not work out so well. Because there are more workers than necessary in principle and they can support each other during the time. And if someone is missing in the overcapacity (because he needed even more time to find his rythm), then not everything is lost for the work plan/process.

    EVERYONE THE CONTENT IN THIS VIDEO DOES NOT GIVE AN EXCUSE TO OVER SLEEP. Most should stay within 7-10 hours of sleep. Even if you can function below 7 hours it still isn’t healthy nor good. You want to also try keeping an exact sleep schedule. Try sleeping at the same times at night and wake up at the same times in the morning. We are also not nocturnal even if you get sleep it better to try having a sleep schedule so that you are awake when there is light and sleep when it is dark. Sleeping too much can also be bad for your health. All good things in moderation folks.
    ALSO DAYLIGHTS SAVINGS TIME IS PRETTY BAD. It causes international trouble as other countries have to adjust their clocks showing the U.S. as well which can become confusing. In addition, some clocks do not automatically change their times so if you forget to change your clock correctly you may end up being late to work or school. As well as being too early. The original point of daylights saving was during World War I where in 1916, locations within the German Empire set clocks ahead one hour in an effort to use less power for lighting and to save fuel for the war effort. As you can tell it is no longer beneficial as first of all there is no longer war. And second of all we use 24/7.

      I agree with this. I live in the US but work with Europe, India, Japan, and other parts of Asia. Getting everyone on one meeting is difficult normally, but around daylight savings time it becomes a nightmare as US & various European countries change times on different weeks.

    i love daylight savings time. let me rephrase that. it annoys me but i love that i sleep so much better in the “winter” than in the summer. I think it relates to the biological clock that winter is a time to slow down, hibernate if you will. I usually am in bed by 2230 in the winter and sleep to 0730, some days I wake up early but not as often… but come the spring and summer its up at the crack of dawn as early as 0430, into the garden making plans of planting getting ready for spring planting. i usually go to bed a bit later too and instead of getting my 8-9 hours of sleep I tend to get closer to 5.5-7 hours a night. in my job i dont need an alarm clock but i can usually tell the time when i wake up because its 9/10 between 0724 and 0732 LOL

    I don’t understand how can this be, we are not losing or gaining an hour of sleep, apart from the day it starts and when it ends, the number of hours slept is the same, what changes is the “actual time“that we go to bed/wake up, and I doubt that the body won’t adapt in a few days at most, humans are very adaptable. And how can this data be related to the DST? There’s no way no isolate the variables, this is just correlation, not causation

      The effects he’s talking about are for the day after the time change, not the whole DST period.

      @Tahmid Abdin If you have to go to work in the morning, waking up to your alarm and going to bed at your usual time the night before, you will lose or gain an hour of sleep during the time change.

      It’s to make better use of daylight
      Setting clocks forward sunrise and sunset is 1 hour according to the clock
      Setting clocks back
      Sunrise and sunset will be 1 hour earlier according to the clock
      This gives us better use of daylight during the winter and summer months

    Absolutely hate daylight-saving!
    Find it takes me a long time to adjust to daylight-saving, then back again, as I seem to have a highly attuned body-clock, & would often wake up just before my alarm clock would sound! I have a number of chronic illnesses that also leave me very fatigued, plus pain-levels which also affect the quality of my sleep!

      And follow your new time zones
      Go to bed whatever time you normally whatever your new time zones says
      Drink a glass of water first thing in the morning
      Dehydration gives us more tiredness and jet lag

      @John McAllister I agree, it’s good info. I truly love Matt’s work. I’ve read his book, re-listened to the audio book, watched or listened to a bunch of interviews with him (I highly recommend his interviews with Rhonda Patrick and Peter Attia), etc. So as a real fanboy, it makes me sad to get this kind of slightly icky vibe.

    It looks so wrong to me. In fall depression and anxiety increase compared to spring. Besides, what does it means an hour of sleep more??? You can sleep 7 or 8 hours anyway, you get used to the change in one week. Again, it sounds all bullshit to me.

    I always said that Daylight savings upset my body too much. I just start adapting to it and…voila….they change it back! All for the benefit of businesses and stock markets, who lose on it anyway ! Get rid of it I say! I value my health more.

    One hour change twice a year… come on! Try to work in a day shift – night shift schedule, now that is though. Changing multiple hours of sleep schedule, multiple times due to rotation.

    I think the study is somewhat flawed.. because not all ppl with extra hour will use it for sleep.. some will use it for other things like reading, relaxing, exercising etc.. hence less heart attacks.. and less accidents because they go out less, not because they sleep more.. though i understand the importance of sleep, the example is not the perfect example..

      @Anders Nielsen How is going to bed early means you will be late for work?

      The false assumption in this video is that you would sleep an hour less. That is ridicolous. The amount of hours asleep is not determined by just the time you get up.

      So if I usually go to bed at 0h00 and get up at 7h00, than the only thing I have to do on the night before changing the clock, is go to bed at 23h00 to get the same amount of sleep.

      This is what I and the people around me have been doing all our lives. We don’t lose any sleep over changing the clock

      If I had not experienced this myself I would have said this is all lies but I’ve made withdrawals few days ago and that’s one thing I find difficult and impossible with other brokers but Mr David muller makes it possible…. It was like magic when I I received my funds

    This was the first time in my life that the daylight saving change made me have anxiety to a point I couldn’t sleep properly for about a week.
    This however has to be factored in with the pandemic that already disrupted my life to a point, specially sleep schedules.

      no need any “official” adjustment at all. We just need to keep the clock running unchanged; any adjustments you’ll make toyour personal schedule, individualized, natural.
      Best, IMO, would be to keep summer time all year round. However, the most important is to keep it constant.

    Changing time 1 hour back and forth 2x/year is just a bad, stupid idea.
    For health, first of all.
    But not only: now in fall/autumn, it’s not that dark at 7-8am to justify setting clocks back. There is street lighting anyway. I’ve almost never had to turn on the light in the morning.
    By contrast, in the evening it does not make any sense to move the time back. And we spend too much time already with lights on in the evening; now setting the clock back, we’ll make us stay 1 hour longer still.
    KISS . Don’t change clocks.
