it’s not going to happen …if Siri never improved in 10 years … why would it improve noe

Due to internal problems at Apple in 2012, when Scot Forstall was fired, the Siri project received less attention
and was placed in the background and for years Siri was just forgotten and then Google came with Google now but when the Google assistant came out Google was so ahead of Apples Siri apple had no chance but they where working on there own AI Apple has bought more AI companies than Google Microsoft Meta and Amazone all together

My problem is I’m watching tv or listening to music on my speaker in the living room and say “hey siri” and my watch or iPad picks up instead and don’t understand to pause/play on the speaker.

I want to be able to tell my phone to play the next episode of something and it knows I’m home in my living room or bedroom or even outside patio too turn on that tv and play it there. Or sometime I say add bread to my shopping list and it add it to some reminders or tell me I don’t have bread in my contacts list 🤣🤣😂🤣😅🤣🤣 it needs to be better understanding

✨ apple marketing team missed big time to include AI terminology in their product intros and adds. Google Microsoft Samsung already used the AI excellently in their marketing despite Apple already using AI in its product. Apple need a shuffle in its marketing team because of this failure and embarrassment.

  21. @joelface

One thing I’d like to see is Siri able to handle several things as once, with a memory of the other tasks. Essentially, Siri able to help plan my day, giving me directions and suggesting places for dinner and knowing how to use all of my different apps.. checking my emails and letting me know which ones I need to respond to first.. etc.. all without me needing to open any apps or word things in just the right way. Imagine I set a reminder to go somewhere and it does a better job of filling in all of the location details etc, and then when I DON’T leave on time it says “weren’t you going to go?” and even sets off an alarm if it notices I’m not on my way. Obviously not everyone wants that, but it would also learn that about people as well.

  22. @ayusharora8141

    March 8, 2024 at 7:41 pm

The M3 was supposed to be released just for Siri LLM. All tech enthusiasts knows about it from last 5-6 months. Not sure why it is extra emphasized in the video. 😕

  23. @ayusharora8141

    March 8, 2024 at 7:42 pm

this video is pure speculation. I thought might point sth to Gurman’s new. Disliking. Time waste video.

  24. @rogerbravo3783

    March 8, 2024 at 7:45 pm

Absolutely, the last statement is the key. I know when it comes to Apple they sell values over features. I also know it will take time. Slowest way is the fastest way to success! M on it.. m also aware of the counter parts are at the bleeding edge but it still don’t convince me to overlook what Apple has on its plate!

Happy international women’s day Bridget. You wouldn’t have been doing this a couple of decades ago if things were still like they used to be. 6:43 😂😂. It looks like you let your girls organize your desktop. I want multimodal childcare. You tell the kids to do a task, set the phone down to watch them until they get it done as it nags them with your voice. 😅

  27. @dabz3432

    March 8, 2024 at 9:55 pm

Recent Vision Pro should have had an AI dimension, but sadly it looks like Apple’s R&D isn’t really aligned with where new opportunities are emerging. Why Apple did not invest in Siri decades ago is puzzling.

  34. @manhhahlu

    March 9, 2024 at 1:28 am

Feels like AI will just be another excuse for the inevitable future price hikes from these big corps anyway for localised AI processors. Look at Pixel 8 for example: it will not run Gemini locally even the specs supported it in theory. Also locking AI on certain platforms can only ensure customers having the best access to the feature sets I am sure /s

  35. @jeffjohnson3620

Regarding your scattered file system on your desktop. MacOs can automatically sort them out for you. Right click anywhere (that is clear from files) on your desktop and click on Use Stacks. Voila they will all be automatically sorted into the correct file structure for you.

They need to replace Siri with robust conversational AI that maintains context and can automate/perform many tasks in the OS and mobile apps without manual intervention. Don’t just introduce gimmicky AI tricks like erasing objects in photos…that would be pathetic.

    Good vid.

I use Openai’s ChatGPT turbo, and it understands everything I say. I have a stutter and I repeat myself constantly, but that doesn’t affect it. Hopefully Apple’s AI will be just as good, because I really like the ios and macos ecosystem.
