Her parents wanted her to wait until she was mature enough to make a conscious decision about her life?

    Wow, they must be Republicans

What? I thought US Republicans were generally socially conservative? As in… wanting to control what other people do with their own bodies?

Yes! Parents who force these piercing on their child for their own selfish reasons, bad parents. Let the kid decide if they want pierced ears.

      June 26, 2023 at 3:49 pm

@Batty manbut then you just have a hole in your ear lol waiting allows you to decide that and if *you* change your mind about it, you know it was your choice to begin with

@Feanix wow you poor thing you must’ve been devastated when someone had to tell you that it happened because it’s that small of a thing no one would even notice without someone telling them

    • Feanix

      June 27, 2023 at 2:01 am

@Batty man It’s a small thing, and also not selfish either, but still goes to show that some of the parents think that we are their property.

    She’s too cute.

I guess my Mimosa (Mother) got my ears pierced when I was baby (or at least too young to remember it) but I kept pulling them out so she was worried that I was going to hurt myself or that I didn’t want them. They healed & I never knew until later in life when my brother told me about it.

What I remember is that when I was about 9 years old, I asked if I could get my ears pierced. My Mimosa was hesitant & told me to wait until I was 13 & then ask.

Y’all, I don’t think I’ve ever been a countdown person (on than on Christmas) but during the last minutes of me being twelve, I woke my Mimosa up & was like, “Can I get my piercings now?!” 🤣

I have 6 piercings now, three in each ear & I’m thinking about getting more piercings. Also one tattoo but I plan on getting many more.

    Enjoy yourselves & express yourselves💖
