I wonder how it will stack up against the Amazon Echo Studio?

What about their WATCH? We ever gonna see an Android Wear watch with “Project Soli,” built in?

Project soil on a watch? How would you even fit all that tech without making it cluncky on a wrist

    • TheAtomic Soul

      July 20, 2020 at 10:34 pm

@Ax El They’ve already shown it working on a watch back in 2016.

It seems to be battery powered and able to travel with you.

I was in the Google ecosystem and now I am out, I had multiple Home Hubs but they didn’t work with my Ring cameras and also the most infuriating thing, for some reason Google can’t figure out how to put the damn date on a screen, only weather and time, have Amazon Echos now and I am much happier. 🤷‍♂️

If you had ring cameras then… Where you really in the Google ecosystem? Try getting the nest hello doorbell or nest iq outdoor or indoor cameras Then it will work flawlessly with your hubs

Not everything is for you; imagine your mom who just wants to easily listen to music in the kitchen, or a kids room that uses it to play games or listen to books. There’s definitely a market

If its almost the same price as the nest hub max, I will definitely recommend the nest hub max.

Name me another smart speaker that can literally call in a reservation for me, schedule it on my calendar, and send me the confirmation?

    I’ll wait.

I hope its better integrated with the new Chromecast they’re also announcing. Being able to wirelessly pair 2 together for everything from simple assist questions to watching movies would be awesome, especially if there’s also a wireless sub. Would definitely make me reconsider Sonos. Even better if they sold them bundled with a sub as a complete theater setup for $499. Maybe Google should start charging me for ideas 😉

the thing that confuses me is whats the difference between a smart speaker and your phone, its the same thing and one is always with you rather than sat in a room being unused.

  22. Michael Hughes

An Amazon Echo Flex like device would be nice. Isn’t it ironic that the Google Home Hub doesn’t even have a hub to control smart home devices?!

    July 21, 2020 at 3:48 pm

I hope you can mount it to a wall..

Damn the clock….WATERPROOF/ some sort of IP rating!

    I 100% agree.

I think you now can pair two of them in stereo. You see two speakers behind Mark Spates.

I would like a Nest speaker that, when I tell it “play Mozart on iHeart Radio”, it actually plays Mozart on iHeart radio and not Hip-Hop.

  28. Sean Brown

    July 22, 2020 at 5:26 pm

Zig bee and Z-wave would be nice.
