Hopefully it’s a lot more than that. As much as an advancement that this is. Are we really just building tomorrows servants?

That was ridiculously smooth… I don’t know how they’re managing to reach this level of precise movements when 5 years ago they could barely stand up, but apparently this is happening now.
Well, if the economy doesn’t kill us, I’ll see you in the future where these things certainly will.

I bet it can, all it needs is an API call to a centralized server to generate the music and then it can give you the score on a tablet.

It‘s not about how good they are now but about how good they will be. Think about what smartphones and computers evolved in the last 30-40 years
@ShadeAKAhayate
October 11, 2025 at 12:49 am
Computers have had room to evolve. Now they don’t, we’re at the limit. Without some new breakthrough the growth can still be, but it will be severely limited.

More like mankind made the Gods in their image.
Cross the boundaries of the regions, religion and time and you will get different definition of the “God”.
It’s an ever reducing definition of the unknown, that’s shrinking much faster in the age of science.

What I have questions about is: Exactly what operationing mode is it currently functioning in, fully autonomous or is in teleoperation (virtual reality/remote control) by a human being?
I don’t think anyone will fully trust a robot to work on it’s own until they have an operating mode display light.
@ShadeAKAhayate
October 11, 2025 at 12:59 am
Yeah, motion control is precise, but very slow. And I doubt it could do anything with dishes besides placing these into washing machine. Does it at least wash its manipulators after that? Not all the dishes are squeaky clean, that’s the reason to do them in the first place… Can it even safely manipulate one covered in grease?

Although this is strangely fascinating to watch this machine in action, I also think it is very disturbing and threatening. I will never acquire one of these robots! I will never feel comfortable or safe with them. Then again, I don’t trust a lot of humans anymore either…
