@ you know Tesla is still only level 2 self driving, right? They’re barely beyond cruise control from the 1980s.
How long was it in beta that they sold as a finished product? 4 years! And, it’s not done yet. Nope! Now it’s in “supervised” … you know what that means, right?
Yeah. Nobody does. It means they can’t declare it’s done because it’s still not good. But, he’s been saying his cars will self drive for like 10 years now and it needs to look like progress is happening.
You know what happens if a Mercedes car crashes in self driving mode? Mercedes is at fault, not the driver and Mercedes pays for it. Same for GM. Same for Honda.
These Wamo cars don’t even have drivers!
How about Tesla? Oh … it’s not Tesla’s fault? Why is that? Because all the fine print still says it’s incomplete. Gotcha. And, the driver is responsible for the car at all times and cannot avert their attention …. Because their system is so complete and wonderful?
@MarcSpctr
January 8, 2025 at 5:22 pm
@@jezza6575 exactly why they DO not allow unattended FSD.
There is literally a camera in the car, tracking your eyes, whether or not you are looking at the road.
If you don’t it warns you and then stops.
That is not FSD.
it is still assisted by the driver.
Without LiDAR and Radar, Tesla can never achieve this.
In foggy and rainy situations, the camera dependent system is utter garbage.
Waymo already has self driving cabs that requires no assistance.
So this is 100 times better than the crappy tesla.

@MarcSpctr
January 8, 2025 at 5:18 pm
@@YungOdellz so ?
No one is forcing you to NOT choose small businesses.
Plus, if it WILL HURT them, means it will definitely be BETTER than them.
So argument of “it will do nothing” is completely bs.
I use Uber in my hometown, cause the local taxi drivers there really are overpriced and unwelcoming, while in the city I live, I have no issue with using a local cab.
It only hurts the local businesses, when it OUTPERFORMS THEM.
So IT WILL be doing something great for majority of the people.

Nothing is stopping them besides having to pay the import fees. You’re right though, they probably will only send this to Japan or other Waymo markets. The Hyundai was a last minute answer to the tariffs now that Hyundai is building them in America, so it will probably be the more long term solution.
