Where’s the A95L ! ?

So happy I got the TCL QM8 a couple months ago on sale. Glad it was first on your list.
I would recommend it over the G3 and S95C which are double the price. Very negligible differences. Best Blacks I’ve seen on a TV that isn’t OLED. Did research for hours and even visited Best Buy until I concluded that for the price, that was overall the best. Paid roughly $1400 CAD after tax. Best TV I ever owned.

I am in the market for a TV. My 9 year old Vizio died. TCL was not on my list, but I am considering it now. Surprised Vizio didn’t even make it to the list. Also surprised Hisense is on the list. So much has changed since I was shopping last time.

Brother! I know you are happy with your tv but don’t get it twisted! There is reason why LG blacks is the standard for the industry and why it’s been like that for over 10 years and stated by experts! Lg panels are on a different level than everyone else!
@asole2847
December 18, 2023 at 4:59 am
The only problem with your logic is that you’re comparing the TCL price to flagship OLEDS, when there are other OLEDS at lower prices. Also why are people surprised that a Chinese company is able to undercut none Chinese companies? Even in none tech related things China has always been the place for any company from anywhere to go, and make things at a lower cost, therefore of course China will always have the upperhand when it comes to prices.

Watching this on my C3 right now, fantastic tv.
@garrettstrutz7421
December 18, 2023 at 5:48 pm
C3’s are dim and overpriced. G3 is the only one not to dim but it’s not hardly worth half what they go for. S90c blows the c3 away for around the same price no comparison
@Arseverse
December 17, 2023 at 8:54 am
A joke that the Sony A95L isn’t on that list
@Bella-nv2yp
December 17, 2023 at 9:26 am
What about Samsung S90C? How it will stuck among those best? Is it comparable LG C3 and Samsung S90C?
@garrettstrutz7421
December 18, 2023 at 5:50 pm
S90c is much brighter and more vibrant with the quantum dots tech. S90c blows the c3 away

Bro I had an opportunity to get into a 77” LGG3, I’ve never had a flagship tv in my life, always purchased the budget ones. Let me tell you something, there are levels to this tv game and I have, in my opinion the best tv on the planet! I heard that Hollywood producers use the lg g3 as reference panel when editing movies and videos! That’s dope! I’ve never seen movies and video games look the way they do, it’s absolutely beautiful! The colors are vibrant and sharp and LG is the King of black contrast, which plays a much bigger role than colors, in my opinion! Every time I have folks over they are in disbelief with how great the picture quality looks! The one negative is that it cost me 5k and still can’t believe I spent so much but man I’m so happy with my choice! Once the price goes down, I highly recommend you picking this tv up, you will not be disappointed!!!
@sirjynx3041
December 17, 2023 at 10:17 am
Whoever told you Hollywood uses this TV as a reference monitor lied to you. $30,000 Sony monitors are industry standard
@garrettstrutz7421
December 18, 2023 at 5:47 pm
Definitely not worth the money S90c is half the price and arguably looks better
@sirjynx3041
December 17, 2023 at 10:16 am
This list feels like silly bias. The Samsung objectively looks much better than the LG for color detail, but the LG is the best TV you ever tested? And the Sony A95L is the Samsung, but with better processing and more color accuracy, yet it’s not on your list? This is a real weird list
@Hintonbro.
December 17, 2023 at 11:16 am
It’s not ‘bias’ – it’s his (educated) opinion.
No more no less.

It’s still a pretty good list that makes the most sense for average people. I do think he should have included a few Sonys like the X90L thought.
Also, that A95L is the best TV I have ever seen. He should have included that.

Any of the mid-tier or higher end OLEDs are very good. Not mentioning Sony seems like a glaring omission, especially since the A95L has had such great reviews. I have a Samsung S90C that I’m very happy with. Most reviewers claim that, while it does not necessarily surpass the S95C and G3, it is very close for a much lower price. Is this video sponsored by LG?
@garrettstrutz7421

The S90c is hands down the best choice for an Oled
@Andre-cj3ec
December 18, 2023 at 6:42 pm
@@garrettstrutz7421 The price of a 77 inch S90C is close to the price of a 65 inch S95C or G3 and I was not willing to spend more. Most reviewers agree that a S90C is superior to the LG C3 (except perhaps for the UI). I’m very happy with my choice.

The main thing I want to know about a Smart TV prior to purchase is exactly what apps will be available to download. I have heard from colleagues in the last couple years that they purchased a TV only to find out after that apps like Apple TV or Paramount Plus and others were not available for download and/or there was not sufficient space to add the apps. Is that still a problem or do all smart tv’s have the ability to download any app?

Most people use a streaming device anyways.

Sony A95L, Samsung S95C and LG G3 are very close in being the best , sony has a bit edge in processing,color accuracy and has better os. Meanwhile in mid-budget Samsung S90C is a fantastic choice and better than LG C3 , too bad you didn’t consider that.
@garrettstrutz7421

Would rather have the S90c than the G3 even if they were the same price

‘TVs’ are friggin’ stupid. Create a 34″ or 42″ OLED 4K 240 Hz monitor with HDR10+ that has HDMI 2.1b, DP 2.0, and USB-C. Have at least three of each. Eliminate the RGB garbage and tinny speakers, and focus on cooling and panel mounts.

TCL for the win. I have been a fan of TCL since the P607 that I still have and love. I also have the R617 R625 and the miniled R635. All great bang for the buck TVS. 😊

I was wondering why the Sony a95L wasn’t listed, as it was 2023’s best OLED TV with the LG G3 coming in 2nd place. I have the LG G3 Evo with the AI sound bar. The wand remote acts like a monitor to self-correct the audio. It doesn’t make sense and it doesn’t always work. It was amazing the 1st couple of months, but it was annoying to troubleshoot later. Sometimes the sound bar would be mute, which is when you have to change to a different feature. As a sound engineer, it sounds amazing when it works and flat when it doesn’t. Indeed, there are better systems than the soundbar that are more consistent, but I do like the simplicity of this.

Surprised you picked the TCL 4 series over the Roku Select Series TV, I think it’s a better buy. Got the 43 inch version.
