Just got an SE in November and I am liking it so far, great battery life and works better then my fossils gen 5 android watch

I got one too and it’s been really nice. I bought a MacBook Pro on black friday and the little promo they had gave me a $350 CAD gift card so the watch was basically free. The fitness tracking stuff is great and I also love using it as a remote for pictures and stuff

But series 6 or 7 don’t buy se it doesn’t have good features

    • Yeeet

      December 12, 2022 at 4:00 pm

what “good features” does the se lack?

  7. Siddharth Singhal

    December 12, 2022 at 3:15 pm

Everyone would buy an SE *only* if it had an always ON display.

  8. Brian Sutton

    December 12, 2022 at 3:16 pm

Series 7 for cheaper if you can. That’s all most people need.

    • Man-Bag Dammit

      December 12, 2022 at 5:06 pm

Best time to buy an Apple Watch is getting the previous years model once the new one is announced. Buying the Series 7 makes the most sense for less money if you can find one.

      December 12, 2022 at 9:35 pm

Both are on sale right now for the holidays. For $60 more you can get a series 8 with crash detection. I say it’s with the extra $50.

I was going to buy my wife the SE2 but she kept asking what SE stood for. I told her “starter edition”. She ended up w/ the S7 like me 😂 Target had the 45mm for $309

    • Dennis McColley

      December 12, 2022 at 4:06 pm

That was a wise choice you probably would have had to buy her the S7 anyways

    • The TechGeek

      @Dennis McColley exactly 😂

I just got the series 8 at Target 45mm for $379 – I thought that was a great deal

  11. Teresa Norris

    December 12, 2022 at 4:11 pm

I got the 44mm SE2 and cannot recommend it highly enough. I live in NZ so the Series 8 costs $300 more. The new back makes it really light and comfortable.👍

    • The Tattooed Guy

      December 13, 2022 at 12:46 am

      I just got the series 8 45mm for $379! I couldn’t pass that up

Your tech expertise & real in depth testing & real life usage comparisons that really helps people a lot in decision making, really makes me loved most of your reviews, besides the facts that you’re sweet & lovely, Lexy..

I have Apple Watch SE 1 generations it’s mazing Apple Watch SE 1 generations vs Apple Watch se2 generation

  15. Alin Contrea

    December 12, 2022 at 5:46 pm

Apart from crash detection & the new temperature sensor, series 8 it’s the same as the series 7, same bigger display, fast charging, sensors, functions & battery life!
And, since the series 7 it’s on sale, right now, for me it was a no brainer, went ahead and bought the green 41 mm, since i got a pretty small wrist.. it’s a great watch and i’m very happy with my purchase decision

I’m a first time user so I got the SE. So far, Im still learning how the watch works. I’m grateful for channels like this one for clarifying what the watch does and how to use it.

Just get the series 7 on sale for around the same price as the SE 2

    Way better deal !!!
    And a way better watch

    December 12, 2022 at 8:43 pm

This is the best comparison video I have seen on these two watch models. There is tremendous value with the SE. TBH, I don’t mind not having always on. I actually would prefer it was not always on. Nothing wrong with having to raise your wrist to view your watch-face.
After watching this video I still cannot decide which one I would want to purchase. You made great cases for each and of course emphasized the value with the SE. I might have to watch this again in order to decide 🤔

    • The Tattooed Guy

      December 13, 2022 at 12:45 am

I was the same but decided on the series 8 – due to the blood oxygen and stuff like that. The SE does almost everything. I ended up getting the 8 for $379

I upgraded from the SE to the Ultra for the battery life since I track sleep and multiple workouts. That said, other than battery the SE did all I needed for the last several years (Nike Cellular edition). I honestly think the SE is for most people, it’s a great watch (Blood Ox and ECG are kind of gimmicks TBH).

  22. Connor Watson

    December 12, 2022 at 9:48 pm

I’ve had my series 6 for 2 years and I don’t even really use the ECG or blood oxygen sensor. Only thing I love is the always on display

  23. Nick

    December 12, 2022 at 10:25 pm

Se just needs an always on display

  24. Graham McDonald

    December 12, 2022 at 11:32 pm

They would have to be half the thickness for me to consider one.

Still trying to figure out what the point of owning an Apple Watch would be. Don’t need it to tell the time, don’t need it to play music, don’t need it to see notifications. Doesn’t seem to serve any useful purpose that the phone doesn’t already serve.

  27. Skit Central

    December 13, 2022 at 5:48 am

I’m getting one of these very soon. Probably not for Christmas. 😢😢😢

My choice is absolutely Apple Watch Series 9. I’ll buy it tomorrow.👍

What is the link or name for the black watch band @9:24 in the video? I like it because it is similar to my garmin band.

    • Lexy Savvides

      December 13, 2022 at 4:18 pm

It’s the Nomad band linked in the description!

  30. nynv94

    December 13, 2022 at 7:28 pm

With the SE will you see notifications or texts without a cellular plan if your phone is near?

  31. Joel Delaney

    December 13, 2022 at 9:36 pm

Battery life is always a killer for me with Apple Watches, that’s why I always stick to Garmin watches. My Garmin watch literally lasts 5 days without charge. Until Apple can make their watches last at least 3 days, I’m not even going to consider buying one. They’re nice watches though TBH

  32. Zeeshan Zia

    December 13, 2022 at 10:03 pm

I would rather buy a tissot or maybe inc my budget and get a iwc watch

I’d only consider an Apple Watch the day it has Android compatibility. I won’t use iPhones.

  34. R Krish

    December 14, 2022 at 3:23 am

I would recommend series 7. Same features, great chip and performance, great price.

If you are new then buy the apple watch SE(2020) it’s cheaper than the latest version(2022). There’s literally no difference except the chip. Offers the same features.

  35. Dan Fehrer

    December 14, 2022 at 3:45 am

Apple Store rep insisted the SE also had the QWERTY keyboard lol.
Also it doesn’t have the iPhone watch mirroring feature.
Last, I find the watch face scuffs up very easily. My series one doesn’t have any scuffs on it at all.
These 3 things, had I known, would have changed me to a series 8…

  36. Sophie macquet

    December 14, 2022 at 6:23 am

If you got a series 6/7 you can only downgrade if you go with the SE lol

  37. Chris G

    December 14, 2022 at 7:16 pm

For me it was definitely the AW8 for the dust protection because I work in a foundry
