While I don’t believe that any food is “unclean,” the prohibition of certain foods in religion has less to do with food than what that food symbolizes — namely association to uncleanliness. The guilt she felt is the conviction towards this belief. To push that aside is to let slide certain convictions — to permit for yourself the giving into temptation. But hey, everyone is doing religion a la carte so whatever right?

“interpretations of faith”, ummm that sounds really sus. There’s nothing to interpret (as in its crystal clear) about the verses that make things such as swine, alcohol, homosexuality, changing the creation of God (transgender), etc, as being impermissible, i.e. haram.

It’s also wrote by crazy people with zero facts. Faith is no different or real then Santa or a marvel movie, the only real difference is religions spread hate, lies, start wars, keep trillions of dollars and don’t help anybody. But they are great at brain washing

    November 5, 2021 at 12:36 am

The mind is a powerful manipulator, easy to spot how someone is restrained from doing something as simple as eating pork, but can you see how your brain does it to you? Simple things, we deem them as bad and find ourselves shaking in the presence of these things…

There are no good or bad things, but the mind makes it so..

help me understand, how is this pork? it is not an animal product. this video actually explains what is wrong with the muslim world. why would a reasonable educated person (like me) would rely on the interpretation of an imbecile cleric. Muslims: stop focusing on the vices and maybe muslims will progress. There is more to life than maintaining beards and worried about the so called vices.

  24. Ayman Abdellatief

    November 5, 2021 at 12:57 am

I don’t think impossible pork products would be a big hit with Muslims. Imitation pork products made from beef and any other halal meat would definitely work. Somehow for Muslims the psychology is different for consuming plant based pork products verses imitation pork products made from halal meat.

TBH, why whould people let the religion control what they should or should not eat? For those religions that say you can’t do this, you can’t do that, what’s the point? Forming a religion just to control people? For me, I would choose food over religion. 😆

    • Vin Vin

      November 5, 2021 at 9:55 am

It’s just their beliefs, not controlling. What’s even the point of someone making people to not eat a specific type of meat? According to Muslim teachings, pigs are considered ‘unclean’, so they choose not to eat their meat. They don’t seem to care about pork, and as the woman says, there’s a lot of other meats, so they don’t really have to eat pork if they don’t want to.

If you eat meat or blood of any animal, then religious feelings about eating selective meat is absolute useless logic as there can be only two categories, 1st veggei and 2nd is non veggei.
Selective non veggie category is basically liars in the name of religious followers.
You kill and not kill, that matters, not which animal.

Jews have been eating fakin bacon forever. Most religions like Judaism and Islam are based more on what you CAN’T do than what you CAN do. It’s not really about the spirit of things so much as it is the binary laws that you can and cannot follow. Obviously, with Islam being the 2nd largest religion in the world with 1.8 Billion people, this isn’t a cut/dry thing. But with Jews as different as we can be (all 15 million of us internationally) most who keep Kosher are fine eating fake pork/seafood as long as it is certified kosher.

I do enjoy that these religious leaders (2 out of 3 at least) stop at saying that the aspect of eating meat is not the actual eating of the meat, it is the thought of eating the meat, the acceptance that you are eating a substitute tailored to be the exact same thing implies the same impurity as eating the meat.. and to me.. that is far scarier than many things on this planet.. including any actual illnesses I may get from eating actual pork. Good on the Rabbi for just embracing it, because he understands that if it is not about the thought-crime, it’s about tradition.. which can be inflexible and people need to realize that.

I’m Jewish and keep kosher. I don’t foresee myself ordering this if I see it on a menu. I also know some Muslim who aren’t practicing, but still don’t eat pork. I get what she’s saying by it feels so wrong. The taboo around pork consumption is strong enough for some people that it just feels too weird to voluntarily eat it when other options are available.

I still don’t quite understand religious people. It all just seems like superstition to me. Christians are 100% sure they’re right. So are Muslims. They can’t both be right. 5:56 Pork is prohibited in Islam not because of taste, flavor, texture or even the general experience of eating it. It’s prohibited because it’s perceived to be impure, dirty, and unhealthy. This was most likely true thousands of years ago.

Basically this imam is just regurgitating dogma that he doesn’t even fully understand that his followers don’t either. Might even just be a move to garner support from Muslims who only know the “don’t eat pork part” but not why.

My ignorance is not letting me be. You can eat whatever you want. Religion and deities of any sort are just made up humanity-controling bs things.

Science already debunked the religion issue a long time ago. All 4,000+ religions in our world are all man-made and a fallacy. You can eat whatever you want as long as you exercise. YOLO and learn the facts.

This is Fitna 🙏☪️ stay away from they are lowering you into trying the synthetic unforbidden things that’s why they’re using a Muslim representative to do it and this lady she’s if she continues with this she’s going on the path of misguidance it’s only going to get more and more confusing that’s why she so hesitant when she’s eating it 🙏🙏🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Religious restrictions aside, vegetarians and vegans recreating “meat” from plants is one of the most hypocritical stuff I’ve ever heard. It’s such an unnecessary step morally can’t eat chicken, but pretend to eat chicken anyways? wtf?

I am from one of those Christian sects (SDAs) that avoid pork traditionally. I have grown up on MorningStar veggie Bacon Strips, Worthington Foods Stripples, and a few different veggie-sausage patties/links (had some yesterday). I’d totally eat veggie-pork. I think anyone from my faith group would as well.

Religion: Takes away your freedom to walk away from it. A marriage where you know you’ll suffer, but you can’t get a divorce.
Takes away your choice of Food, Clothes, Education, Marriage, Birth, Death (etc) for starters.
Kills you if you defy it!!

Next up is impossible bacon & smoked ribs.
These people will b hooked once they roll their eyes back from the taste-heaven they’ve been missing.

When they get hooked on it, start slipping in the real stuff. Afterwards, there’d b one less thing to argue about.

Is the thought of eating pork or the act of eating real pork haram?

The same religious implications have been true for soy cheese or other non-dairy cheeses. Even though it is safe to eat with a burger, many Jews still will not do it because of what it represents.

According to the Quran, Women is half intelligent, half trust worthy, half the ability to do testimony, half or no right to inherit property, no rights to divorce their husband. But most of the Practicing Muslim have their own way to interpret these phrase, which make them no abide to the above verse.
So, Muslim, please wake up, there are reasons why Mohammad and the arabs at that time around 600ad dont eat pork or try to avoid it. Why is is due to science and practical reason not to eat, not Allah tell the not to. So please dont feel “WRONG”. It was at that time which the circumstance didnt allow, there is nothing “Wrong” about eating pork.

  134. Kongolox

    November 9, 2021 at 3:17 pm

Its plant based.. so it should be ok, maybe have different name..?

  135. Theofficialmalik

    November 9, 2021 at 3:37 pm

But why does it need to be replicated to make up the taste of it but it’s plant based. Doesn’t need to happen
