I bought the AirPod pros to replace my gen1 AirPods as the battery barely held charge anymore. I’m honestly not a big fan at all… I prefer the originals much better

I just get my Galaxy Buds Pro as a pre-order gift. I have been using Airpods pro as my carrying ear buds for over a year.
My experience: the sound quality crushes the Airpods pro, it sounds much more open and defined with much better bass. However, the ANC and ambient mode is still not on the level of Airpods Pro, it also tends to pick up more wind noise.
In summary I think Galaxy buds pro are the overall better package, you get much better sound quality, much more control with reasonablly effecitive ANC and ambient mode. Fair warning: don’t try extra high ambient sound if don’t want to damage your hearing. However, in terms of my favourite sounding earbuds, I would pick the Galaxy buds live. I know they don’t block out noise at all, but in terms of sound quality, it’s the closest thing I have experienced to a pair of open back headphone.

To me looks like Galaxy Airbuds Pro are just a copy of the AirPod Pros; Samsung figured out the kidney shape were ineffective and tweaked them to be a step above Apple with a few changes

I had to jump on the buds pro, after trying out the plus and live.. They have the bass I prefer. I have the same issue making the buds pro fit in my right ear. In my left it’s fine right so so… I’m definitely keeping these until they launch next version.. Team bass boast setting!

My biggest issue after getting airpods pro was the lack of support on anything but iphones. Even on mac you cant change any settings.
I know what i signed up for, but im switching just because of this.

Hey Lexy, i got these today, and ive been doing this today also, airpods pro v buds pro, btw the samsug hack works, if u use both phones, u can connect them w a samsung song i use an s20 fe, customise the settings, and then re connect with the iPhone. Since no curreny ios app support. Music sound quality trumps airpods pro, but yeah i love the vacume seal feel u get with airpods pro. Please share this with your users. This is a useful tip if u wana use these with apple products.

@Lexy Savvides welcome, do try it out. Adjust the settings as per your preferences on your Samsung and connect with ur apple device. Another discovery, the voice sensor is a bit sensitive on the buds pro, they will go into ambient mode even when your breathing heavily such as during a work out. It even picked up my humming along with the tunes i was listening to on my iPhone. As useful as the speech sensor is, it is something that will take getting used to.

As someone who owns both galaxy and iOS devices, I went with the Jabra Elite Active 75T. They recently got a firmware update for ANC and support each and every feature on both platforms. They even support Siri on iphones and Google assistant on Android 😁

Nah bro I own both the buds live and buds pro, got them both on their release days. The buds live are slightly more comfortable imo, but the buds pro are better in every other aspect. Although not going to lie, the buds live are I think the only earbuds on the planet that you can comfortably wear while you sleep on your side, so that’s a major benefit to the lives!

I am pretty sure you can set google assistant instead of bixby by going into settings then apps then bixby voice then turn off set as default. After you do that then google assistant should be available.

Yep you can but you can’t get the earbuds (rather than the phone) to register you saying “Hey Google” – instead you have to long press the buds touch panel to bring up the assistant. Let me know if you can get it to work with voice activation though! It might be a trick I didn’t find yet.
