Then there’s the Motorola One 5G ACE, which at $400 is the most affordable 5G phone Motorola sells.

I’ve been back on the Motor kick ever since the G3 or G4. I’m on the One Hyper now, but I just cracked my screen last week. I wish they woulda continued working on the Z platform. I’d really like a Z3, but I guess it’s pretty outdated now

Honestly who still uses it though everyone has Bluetooth headphones. I can see the appeal with phones with a good dac/Amp like the LG phones but I’m assuming these aren’t in that category

It all comes down to how long Motorolla plans to support these handsets with software updates. if it’s less that 2 years, not worth even the cheapest one.

    • Daniel Watts

      January 8, 2021 at 7:00 pm

He definitely states they all include two NOT three yrs. of software updates where as Google supports their phones with three yrs. of updates, so yeah’.. these new Moto’ phones include Android 10 NOT Android 11 out of the box completely unlocked, there it is.

6.5 inch screen is the smallest out of the bunch. When are we going back to “smaller” 5 inch phones? The iphone 12 mini is amazing and battery life is reasonable. we really need more of that

    • Dennis Xu

      January 8, 2021 at 7:42 pm

They already exist. A Pixel 4a with a 5.81 inch display has almost identical dimensions to an iPhone 6/7/8 with a 4.7 inch screen. It’s only 6 mm taller. Don’t be misled by screen size. While screens have gotten larger, phone bodies haven’t changed much. A 12 Pro Max is almost the same size body wise as a 7 Plus.

    I have a Moto G Fast…. what’s it’s direct successor gonna be….
Edit: actually I noticed that there is a 32gb model of the g power (2021) that is 199 who h is the same price of the g fast when it came out. The G Play is now an even cheaper model. And the g power with 64gb is the successor to last year’s g power. I think I have it figured out. Also these devices have to at least get android 12 cause they were launched after android 11.

Motorola lost me. I’ve own many Moto phone over the years but TCL 10l is so good at a lower price and the programmable SmartKey and screen.

Motorola is pulling off a lg with the fake upgrade. The 5g ace seems worth it with the upping to 6 gigs of ram.But the G power and stylus are not worth it… Someohow the best buy version of the 2021 moto g power has 3 gigs of ram a gig less than the old one. 3 gigs of ram will not cut it on a phone in 2021. Kinda ironic chinese phone carriers get pushed out the market and Lenova starts settling for mediocrity .The display in the g power isn’t even full HD come one wtf. Thats a downgrade. Apparently Lenovo is Chinese…

The Moto G Play is the one I’m looking to possibly buy. However with that said, my Moto E 2020 does have a faster, snappier processer.

I’m so over these super expensive phones. They are not worth it, and they are not within my budget. I’m finally bein smarter with my funds. Still need the occasional pair of J’s and Samsung tv, though. 😁

I currently use the first Moto G Stylus from 2020. I think if I were to upgrade my phone, it would be for the Moto One 5G Ace. The specs are better and it has the main attraction of having a 5G antenna.

  33. Jesse Ling

    January 9, 2021 at 3:36 pm

Should’ve given us the G9 Power;same price, better camera, more memory 1000 more mah battery. Moto wtf were you thinking?

  34. Anshul Singh

    January 9, 2021 at 7:04 pm

Why phone companies don’t add more and more thumb fingerprint. Make screen little smaller (6inch) and battery 4500mah +.
    And headphone jack.

  35. Tim Gentz

    January 9, 2021 at 11:00 pm

All of them only have a single speaker👎. Moto g power is 720p. Boo. Better luck next year…..

I currently have the Moto g stylus. I love it. The new stylus phone has some things that I like but not enough changes for me to consider getting the new stylus phone.
