There IS a way to turn off the front screen. If you swipe down, icon dashboard. On the bottom row, second from left, is the front screen icon. It changes depending on what setting you’re using. It might be a square with a cross (off), a square with “01” (status screen), a square with thick white borders (full-frame view), or a square with a person icon (cropped view). Whichever it is, tap on that icon to pull up the options and then choose the one with the X.
If this was one of your major complaints, I would strong suggest updating the video or description if you confirm that my solution works and battery life is better (if battery life is still bad than it’s still a valid complaint). The one thing that isn’t separate configurable is if you want front screen to sleep after a few minutes, but don’t want it to sleep at the same time as the rear screen (which can be set to never sleep, 1min, 2min, etc).
