if you even have to ask the question, it’s a gimmick. Musk should be putting all energy into flying drone cars like the Jetson One. He won’t though.

Says Apple – total gimmicks and at least 5 years later on technology.

A car that won’t fit the needs of most consumers (rich or poor), let alone not that beneficial for the environment. I don’t see any point in mass-producing this car. You can tell it’s going to be a costly ownership, not including the price tag.

@landshass2849 I think it won’t fit the needs of ANY consumer.

Let’s face it, if it cames from Elon Musk, it’s a gimmick, marketing ploy or a way to get another grant without actually being able to produce a marketable product that anyone that doesn’t have several million a year income can afford.
There are real flying cars out there now that are marketable.

@thundersrealm9766 You are right. There are no reusable boosters. No EVs as well.

Hopefully the overall concept design is for a lunar vehicle and Elon was just having fun with the technology because he could.

The McMurtry did this years ago.

You mean last year, not “years ago”.
@chetwitkowski6622
October 30, 2026 at 2:41 pm
@KP-xi4bj6 or 1/2 dozen. But the research they did took years. But when they made their car hang upside down, that was last year and this year is almost over.
@chetwitkowski6622

@KP-xi4bj it’s probably never gonna be street legal anyways.

@chetwitkowski6622 Years mean more than one. Last year is one year.

Suction system to provide downforce and a vacuum cleaner to clean the dirty road at the same time. It’s a win-win situation! LOL

What a waste of design engineering time.
I guess it will be useful in a circus show.

I just bought my second Tesla, and I love electric cars, but this is absolutely ridiculous. He should be making a electric van or a entry-level electric car, or even a better looking pick up truck. Instead, he makes this circus side show
