이건 그냥 애플 대신 테스트 하는거네 의미 없어

      왜 의미가 없음?

    • @RohBH

      October 27, 2026 at 6:12 pm

That’s right. This test is completely different from the one they did with the Galaxy Fold.
At this point, it’s practically a given that Apple paid them for this.

      CNET simply can’t be trusted.

@Gilster85 😂i was actually initially thinking its some very old video until i heard he is talking about Duo😂

TLDW: 82,959 folds and still going strong at the end of the live. More than 2 years of 100 folds a day equivalent.

    • @FrankFurther

      October 27, 2026 at 9:28 pm

@redlinejcw at this price it needs to last at least 5 years. 500,000 is the target

  4. @TitanRaider23

    October 27, 2026 at 5:37 pm

For the price, how many folds?

  5. @Jesussavesyouandme

    October 27, 2026 at 5:47 pm

Put some lent and some little bit of dirt in your pocket, carried around with you for a week. then start folding it. That’s the real test. Crack gate

    • @kberg43

      October 27, 2026 at 7:29 pm

Small particles like dust won’t do anything, hence the IP68 rating. Sand and rocks will for sure though

  6. @Gman1024

    October 27, 2026 at 5:50 pm

Foldin’, openin’, foldin’, keep that iPhone rollin’…

  7. @Jesussavesyouandme

    October 27, 2026 at 5:51 pm

We’re not worried about the folding. We’re worried about the sand and the hinge.😊

    • @He-Thirsty

      October 27, 2026 at 6:28 pm

@Jesussavesyouandme don’t take your duo to the beach and bury it in the sand and then smash that crushed gravel in the hinge. You’ll be alright.

    • @george49rs

      October 27, 2026 at 7:15 pm

@He-Thirsty You won’t. The hinge has a design flaw that breakes the screen. Has nothing to do with sand. Check ifixit or the many other cases

    • @He-Thirsty

      October 27, 2026 at 7:18 pm

@george49rsis it an actual design flaw or a manufacturing defect? If it was a genuine design flaw I’m assuming many more people would be experiencing this. Or the fact that cnet has over 80k folds running right now on a duo and it’s still fine.

    • @kberg43

      October 27, 2026 at 7:26 pm

@Jesussavesyouandme do you plan on pouring sand into your hinge? If not, it’s not relevant

    • @george49rs

      October 27, 2026 at 7:26 pm

@He-Thirsty Repair authority iFixit’s teardown analysis points out that the screen cracking issue on the inner display of Apple’s foldable iPhone Duo, reported by some consumers in recent days shortly after unboxing.

It’s suspected to possibly be a mechanical structural design flaw, where parts in the folding center hinge—such as the support rod or guide rail—fail to retract in time when the consumer closes it, and with dust getting caught, it ends up puncturing the soft screen, so when unfolded again, the inner screen is seen cracked.

THey say design flaw. It’s also not sand, just dust or whatever that will get inside with normal use.

    Looking good

  9. @EMELEN

    October 27, 2026 at 6:34 pm

    WHY??? 🤔

  10. @shdmd2118

    October 27, 2026 at 6:44 pm

It’s crazy to even fold it 30 times a day let alone 100

    • @kberg43

      October 27, 2026 at 7:27 pm

I’d say 20-30 is normal use. Might have been higher the first couple days I used it for the cool factor but since I’d say that range is accurate

100 a day is wild though

  11. @shdmd2118

    October 27, 2026 at 6:45 pm

If I shoot my duo with a shot gun and it breaks

    Do I blame Apple

  12. @7HWB

    October 27, 2026 at 6:51 pm

Samsung has tested it before selling, and there are no cracks! Did the iPhone Duo Fold crack? Ensure it is crack-free like Samsung.

    • @kberg43

      October 27, 2026 at 7:28 pm

Samsung folding screens failure rate is 3-5% depending on model based on Samsungs own metrics. Yes, they crack. We just don’t know about it because nobody cares unless it’s Apple

    애무하나 ㅈㄴ 부드럽노

  14. @damokebusdrivah9701

    October 27, 2026 at 7:01 pm

It’s not about the fold IMO. I had the 3rd Generation Z fold and the problem was dust getting in the hinges from putting it in my pockets. I believe that’s what needs to be avoided at all times dust from pockets where there is lint forming.

  15. @DaxDoesDigital

    October 27, 2026 at 7:23 pm

Wow 83,000 folds, so far. 😊 If you fold it 40-50 a day, that would be around five years. Most of us will have upgraded by then 😅 LOL

  16. @Thomas-py5bz

    October 27, 2026 at 7:23 pm

This could also be a test for the usb-c port, considering how much stress it takes from the cable connected to it

  19. @폴라리스-z7l

    October 27, 2026 at 7:51 pm

This is a truly unfair test.
The testing methods used are harsh for Samsung’s foldable phones, yet remarkably lenient for Apple’s foldable phone.
Are you trying to ensure that Apple’s foldable phone comes out on top against Samsung’s?

  20. @PrayingToTheAlien

    October 27, 2026 at 8:07 pm

Im curious is the “Fold-a-phone” is able to detect additional force needed to open the phone…

Is this sponsored from apple? Where is the clapping machine used for Samsung? This is not a fair test. Please use the same clapping machine to test
