    The “two companies” framing is a market structure argument. Market structure doesn’t change the objective function. Whether it’s a duopoly or a fragmented market, the loop optimizes for capability and treats safety as friction. More companies just mean more loops running in parallel. The problem isn’t consolidation. It’s that the brake was never installed.
