Being informed of and aware of your own body and it’s changes is not paranoia.

It’s a great idea, but I’m allergic and I can handle it on my wrist one day but then I have to clean it and put it on the other rest just once so I couldn’t wear all those bit wearables.

One can take every precaution possible and still be killed in a freak accident such as a car crash or something like that. Just live life to the fullest and make the most of every moment

… you lost me when you calld these irems inexpensive. If you meant **relatively** inexpensive as compared to treatment of a medical condition that wasn’t caught in time, sure… but i am one of those people in the states that can only afford to have a roof over my head **or** medical insurance.

@AnonymousUserNameHere I mean, I have a smart watch that measures most of these things that I got for about $25 USD. It seems to be pretty accurate. I’m sure there are fancier/more expensive types, but a basic no-frills model is really not prohibitively expensive (for most people).

Ann Morgan considered herself well read — until she discovered the “massive blindspot” on her bookshelf. Amid a multitude of English and American authors, there were very few books from beyond the English-speaking world. So she set an ambitious goal: to read one book from every country in the world over the course of a year. Now she’s urging other Anglophiles to read translated works so that publishers will work harder to bring foreign literary gems back to their shores.
