    lol – we know housing has gone up relative to goods – the big question is when will the market crash enough that people can afford houses again 🥺🥺 or alternatively when will wages go up enough to be able to match the inflation.

    When will the fed stop buying mortgage backed securities? When will the fed stop printing money to bail out silicon valley bank? How about everyone check out the delta of the M2 money supply. Hes just doing PR to take blame off the FED.

    If the Fed cuts Fed Funds rate too soon they could actually increase mortgage rates, as the markets may increase their inflation expectations. If they wanted to, the Fed could use their balance sheet operations to lower mortgage rates by buying MBS and Treasury securities. It has to be big though. The $200 billion they announced in January didn’t do much.
