If this does come out to be true, it can make sense well in some ways it might annoy people that have to wait and other others. It makes sense have the higher end models come out first and you capture those people that are going to upgrade right away anyways, and you still make that money as well as the money from people that are impatient and don’t want to wait so maybe you get some of those people and then for the truly value conscious people that can’t afford or refuse or don’t Need any of the extras and only will buy the cheaper ones. They buy them later down the road after you grabbed as much money out of the higher end products first.
Honestly, it’s pretty smart and a kind of fills in some other months of what would otherwise probably be empty release dates

Today on the Homer Simpson files , I had to return to the grocery store to return two items. Total recovered was $22 today alone. I’m supposed to be getting $200 per week in prisoners allowance. He has been robbing me for $50 the last couple of months; about 6 months. His previous scam was marking things as buy one get one /BOGO and then right the cash register to not give me the discount. So to fix that , I started checking my cart and receipts before I leave the store. 50% of the time I have to return something before I leave the store. That’s the behavior of someone who is running the country in the USA in front of a terminal.

It’s only more logical in profit terms if they launch *iPhone 18 pro , 18 pro max and iPhone 18 air* in the opening window and later sell the 18 , 18E , 18 Ultra ! It maintains balance and dumping the later launch with a perception of cheaper iPhones

I assume by staggering the launches, they’re doing this to launch cheaper lower margin phones after RAM pricing peaks ~mid-2027. Higher priced/margin phones can more easily absorb the dramatically increasing component prices. Their stuff remains “innovative” while simultaneously protecting their margins and MSRPs. Probably a one time thing due to the projected pricing arc of RAM.
