XA20P is a long hold so you do not even need that many if you just hold forever and I swapped $8K USDC for it because of the bonus multiplier

What is more impotant, the driver or the car?

Well, you can’t make a WDC contender out of Max Verstappen in a Aston Martin. But you can’t use a Non Max Verstappen in a Red Bull either.

2:17 If Mercedes, one of the best teams in the grid have such fails and still good, I can’t imagine how do Ferrari achieve this level of “This is gonna be our year”

  30. @iidamoi

    March 6, 2026 at 5:43 pm

    March 6, 2026 at 5:49 pm

I remember watching f1 back in the early 2000s with my dad when a pit stop would be around the 7-9 second mark and thinking that was crazy fast, not having followed f1 for a really long time and watching a race again recently, those 2 second pit stops are truly mind boggling just thinking of how this could get any faster. super interesting stuff

  36. @ender-11c

12:21 why specifially 2.2 seconds? don’t they try to get faster?

  37. @Soundwave1of9

    March 6, 2026 at 6:03 pm

Parc ferme/no touching rules transformed the sport. The less fkery you do on the cars, the less pulling it apart and rebuilding it right up until the lights go out , the less likely they are to go wrong. Having said that, this weekend will see a lot of failures as they cars are new. 😀

  39. @chilibeer3912

    March 6, 2026 at 6:22 pm

Truly is a team sport. Ferrari can do everything right but everyone knows their strategy department will inevitably let them down

  40. @sklorbit

    March 6, 2026 at 6:25 pm

Its interesting that they havent come up with a more elegant solution to cooling than using a leaf blower lol

  41. @MrOllieBD

    March 6, 2026 at 6:36 pm

Seems like a decent and interesting chap. A nice little video 👌

  42. @wyldechilde3531

    March 6, 2026 at 6:57 pm

I want that little bit driver. Would be real handy with PC building and maintenance for sure with some cases

  43. @evolancer211

    March 6, 2026 at 7:12 pm

So are you saying George crashes fairly often compared to Kimi? 😂

  44. @tjtourette5261

    March 6, 2026 at 7:19 pm

The first point is so interesting.
I’ve been watching F1 back in the Michael Schumacher, Mika Häkkinnen, Alonso at Minardi and Benetton becoming Renault times. Back then refueling was allowed and a pit stop with refueling took 9 to 11 seconds, depending on the amount of fuel they put in. Back then if changing the tyres took six or seven seconds, which I already found to be extremely quick, was unimportant, the refueling lasted longer anyways. But I have big respect for your team to unscrew, lift up the old wheel, put down the new wheel and rescrew it in about two seconds. Except you’re at Ferrari and fail to tighten the screw…

The question I have is: Are there still drivers like let’s say Niki Lauda or Gilles Villeneuve back in the day, that are also good mechanics, so they can tell the mechanics in the team how to tune their car so it’s running smoothly for them or let’s say understeering just the right amount for their driving style?

  45. @sevenismy

    March 6, 2026 at 7:22 pm

Einhell is quite budget tool company, but they can make good tools

I’m an industrial electrician, and I’ve half a dozen of those mini bit drivers. Best tool ever found

    March 6, 2026 at 8:19 pm

2:49 the honesty of that answer i wish we had more of in this world. great man right here. also love how hes explaining things. THREE HOURS WTF.

  51. @ponegatillo

    March 7, 2026 at 5:15 pm

The most important is the drivers by far! Having mechanics thinking they are as important as the driver is nuts 😂

  52. @Snowwarrior

    March 7, 2026 at 5:27 pm

Every mechanic will give you a pass and a hug

  53. @dbyrne231

I assumed that a British mechanic would talk about “torque spanners”.

  54. @fetch_happens

    March 7, 2026 at 5:41 pm

Or, say, there’s a time you need to pull George’s mechanics to help rebuild Kimi’s car in less than 3 hours so he can qualify P2 for Australia. 🤯

  55. @Avro724

    March 7, 2026 at 5:52 pm

  64. @j-don5228

    March 7, 2026 at 6:21 pm

Its crazy there’s essentially an office worth of people (if not multiple) behind each car. In my head I thought it was closer to like 10-15, but thats just how many mechanics you need, not including rsr, engineers etc.

No wonder there’s so much money in these races.

  65. @stinkyham9050

    March 7, 2026 at 6:21 pm

I wonder how much space the hammer took up that would otherwise have held fuel or the weight of it?

  66. @hawksights

    March 7, 2026 at 6:54 pm

I’d rather do a night shift to fix a car for a driver who has gone to the limit, than lounge around and my driver starting mid or end field.

No driver crashes on purpose. It’s always better to fail while trying, than not trying at all.

  67. @Dash20

    March 7, 2026 at 7:03 pm

11:30 That seems incredibly unprofessional of the sporting director. 😂

dumbest way to lose a tool has to be the cooling for Kimi’s radiators in qualifying

  77. @LD-bv1pm

  92. @Lumberjack0286

    March 8, 2026 at 5:48 pm

3:30 in my next life i would go this direction! in this life i started my own bussiness with a carshop 13years ago and im happy with it, but beeing a part of a raceteam would be awesome, even if the payment would be much less compared to my job now.

dumbest way they lost a tool is by leaving it on their car, letting it fall off, and it being run over by lando norris

Don’t lie to me. We all smoke in all workshops and in the pits. You can smoke alongside an admission of any Mercedes and it wouldn’t matter.
Berta did it. We do it. Your mechanics do it.

Ypu should soak the radiator with water in pit lane. I do it after about 7 laps of drifting in 40c ambients. Brings temp guage down in seconds ready for more skids

This discussion about mechanics all chipping in to get the car out on time reminds me of the time (I think in 2022) when Sebastian Vettel had a crash in FP3 and he joined in to help the mechanics repair his car to get it out for Qualifying.

  143. @Frazec_Atsjenkov

    March 10, 2026 at 9:16 am

How nice that Einhell sponsored this video.

  144. @flutetubamorg

    March 10, 2026 at 10:03 am

Ok I’m an American mechanic. What is he talking about when he says spanners? Is that what we call open end or box end wrenches? When he says spanner, I am thinking he’s referring to a special kind of wrench like they use on fire hoses. Contextually I don’t think that’s what he means.

  145. @godofpebbles

    March 10, 2026 at 11:47 am

I don’t know how to use my spanners. It’s such a complex skill. There’s like a billion of them. Then there’s the imperial version and the metric version. Then there’s the right way to hold it and a wrong way. Then there’s a orientation. Then there’s also a right and wrong way to twist it

  147. @mrKoncpom

    March 10, 2026 at 12:37 pm

I am not that great with a spanner, but seeing last race I could fit right into the multitool and gaffer tape department.

  148. @digolaverdad7313

    March 10, 2026 at 1:17 pm

Its both the car and the driver. A slower car wont get you a championship even with the best driver. But a great driver can make you get pts in the slowest car, give you chances on an average car and win you championships even if the car isnt the fastest

  157. @SinisterMD

    March 11, 2026 at 1:36 pm

Let’s be honest, the car is more important than the driver at this point. They’re all good drivers for sure and some can squeeze more out of bad ones…but just look at history. Button in the Brawn. Vettel in his Adrian Newey designed RB. Hamilton with the Merc turbo V6… Then look at great drivers in bad cars. Alonso in the Ferrari. Vettel in the Ferrari. Hamilton when he was in the new ground effect Merc that had porpoising issues.

Thanks for the video and the best of luck on the season.

  163. @TomTom-jv5sv

    March 11, 2026 at 4:32 pm

Next: Ferrari strategist. I have questions…

  164. @lkb2208

    March 11, 2026 at 6:44 pm

in the questions about the drivers getting hot: what a lot of people forget: driving a formula car is a lot of musclework to whithstand the g-forces and also to actuate the break-pedal, steering and being super focused for cornering, strategy, their race engineer and those other blokes around… so it’s not as if they are sitting in a hammock in the sun at 40°C and getting a cool breeze casually playing something on their phone.

  165. @SarcastSempervirens

    March 11, 2026 at 7:20 pm
