The other countries never trusted the US but doesn’t stop them from making business with the US for the interest of the country which is used against those countries. just history repeating itself .

It’s a very stupid term. But he’s not the one who came up with it. Donald Trump used to this term himself during the press conference where he announced what happened in Venezuela.

Yeah…no brainer. America will sink. It won’t be “United” anymore. Immorality is always going to create division.

    The Dunning-Kruger Doctrine.

Nothing creates unity like a common enemy. The US has lost all relationships and diplomacy. Current adversaries may collaborate against America with new joint purpose. We are not strong enough to fend off such a coalition. The comic book, chest thumping of the current administration is a childish, naive delusion.

There’s bound to be some high level generals and congress leadership who will outright disobey any order that will create hostility with NATO allies.

Interesting take.. I do think Trump looks at Europe and sees a dying continent with only a few survivable countries like Poland.

And I feel it’s a leap to say one China is going to be a big beneficiary of this policy. We’re squeezing Russia and China in the same way USA did to Japan in WW2. China can either throw jn the towel and take US oil and tariffs or not and that could erupt into Ww3 very quickly.

      January 9, 2026 at 4:35 am

If you think china is going to bend the knee to a falling empire whilst China itself is in the ascendence you’re very much mistaken. Pre trump perhaps but the us will very soon have zero allies willing to back America up whilst China will look like the adult in the room. The longer this goes on and china acts with statesmanship, far beyond anything America can do at the moment, more and more nations will either just step back and let it play out or low-key side with china. The us is an empire in its death throws, the Romans and the British had a similar final act. One last push, one last charge into the night as their flame dwindles. We’re just watching it in real time and not in the pages of a history book.

Why do the news and pundits allow the republicans to rename everything by repeating it constantly. There is no Don roe doctrine. Trump has never put any policy forward. He doesn’t know how. I’m sick of people taking on his renaming of everything.

The U.S. has recently surged significant air support, including C-17 transports, AC-130 gunships, and special ops helicopters, to UK bases like RAF Fairford and Mildenhall in early January 2026, coinciding with the capture of Venezuelan President Maduro and amid rising global tensions. Official reasons remain vague. … Greenland?!?

The TED Idea Search wraps up in Amman, Jordan, in a 2,000-year-old Roman amphitheater and in front of a crowd of 4,000. What unfolds inside those stone walls is something the series hasn’t quite seen before: speakers shaped by the weight of living in a region the world tends to define for itself. From a mountaineer who turned grief into motivation to a therapist rewriting the Arab world’s language around mental health, the final city makes the strongest case yet that the best ideas can come from anywhere.

Watch the full talks from the TEDxAmman Idea Search:

00:00 – Intro
3:24 – Rehearsals
16:00 – The Talks
36:28 – Deliberation
38:48 – The Winner Is…

The most interesting ideas often come from the most unexpected places. We searched the globe for ideas with the power to inspire, motivate and change lives — and we found them at @TEDx events around the world. The TED Idea Search follows extraordinary speakers from 9 countries competing for a spot on the TED main stage in Vancouver this April.
