People make a big deal out of the crease in a folding phone but, as someone who has owned multiple folding phones, it is a non-issue in real life use. What matters more are weight, size, and battery life.

Why don’t tech YouTuber and Media publications compare the iPhone fold to the Huawei Pura X. It helps the average consumer visually the form factor better than the Microsoft Surface Duo or Google Pixel Fold original.

  3. @pasos22

    December 26, 2025 at 1:04 pm

I expect great things from Apple, as every year. There will be a handful of new exiting emojis. 2 never seen before iphone colors. Steel is real and will return in 2026. Charge speed will increase 25%. Refresh rate increase as well. The Fold is cold, no future, but the revolutionary iphone 18 pro extra max, or is it 25, will have an unprecedented 7 inch super space screen. Remember, at Apple we sell real intelligence.

  4. @alexanderfazel

    December 26, 2025 at 1:05 pm

I think the iPhone Fold will start at $2000, like some of the competition.
MacBook Air M4 is $999, but going for $750 online. I think the lower power MacBook will be $599 or $699, and that will not be including educational discount!
Looking forward to iOS/MacOS 26.4 in the Spring, with the new Siri.

Yeah, Apple is famous with diving on new technology later, but they were also famous with using them better than the others. There are already many brands with wonderful foldable models. They already build their own user base. Apple will not create a difference over here. They were way too late this time.

Excited for a folding book style iPhone! Though the early leaked version looks a bit awkward.

  12. @PeterBondeVillain

    December 26, 2025 at 4:29 pm

Oh boy, I don’t hope they use the iBook name, that name is giving me PTSD just hearing it said out loud xD I won’t touch a foldable phone, but it might be cool for people that want that!

  13. @ioshadhacomments

    December 26, 2025 at 5:11 pm

I like flip or a slider phone. A one that would make today’s screen sizes smaller in your pocket.
Not a large fold style. IMO It’s awkward to use a phone with both hands – defeat the purpose? Unless you really want a iPad replacement in your pocket??

  14. @Katkayz

    Budget MacBook Would be dope

  15. @pjmorgan

    December 26, 2025 at 5:57 pm

The folding iPhone is really a folding iPad as I’m almost certain it’ll run full iPad apps when unfolded.

  16. @H8RSAPPRECIATE

    December 26, 2025 at 6:26 pm

I wouldn’t recommend getting the 1st generation of a foldable iphone until they fix all the problems since this is will be there 1st foldable phone.

  17. @apex-legendsATL

    December 26, 2025 at 6:26 pm

You’ll have to make it thick for it to not crease, and I’m not a fan of neither so that’s a NO from me.

As someone who’s been using Apple for half of his life: don’t. Apple today is overpriced garbage. The only exception might be the MacBook Air. Everything else is overpriced, overhyped, and has the build quality of cellophane.

It will be all incremental updates and slimmer bezels and for new products delays or announcements for 2027. Thats Apple now. Keep all expectations to a minimum until they have a new CEO.

Apple is scrambling and is lost. Not product oriented, but box pushing oriented. The Mac of yesterday with the price of today. Very big picture blind. Settled as a one trick pony. I hope I’m wrong 🥲

  33. @CdvinylK7dvd

Apple will do what other Android manufacturers do: reach as many people as possible and also penetrate markets in emerging countries like Africa. Purchasing power is lower there, so more people will be able to equip themselves at low prices. People will use Apple’s services, and you’ll remain within this seamless ecosystem. Once satisfied, Apple will remain your preferred brand. I think Apple is leveraging its growth to reach all social classes, remain competitive, and be a leader. Signed, an Android user. I never would have thought that in 20 years, Apple would take such initiatives.

  34. @JamesGowan

    December 27, 2025 at 12:42 am

Personally it sounds far too expensive for me you ever get one… I will get an Apple Vision Pro long before I ever get a foldable phone.

  35. @donniethesportsguy893

    December 27, 2025 at 1:03 am

Without a pro level camera like pro max it’s DOA. The problem with foldable is not the crease. It’s the camera you get with a fold lol smh. These companies just so out of touch with consumers.

  36. @EmooshBrakka

    December 27, 2025 at 1:12 am

I’d be content if we could just have an anti-liquid glass technology introduced in 2026 because I’m seasick at this point.

I’m looking forward to the rumoured A-series MacBook (I really hope they call it the iBook) and the A17 Pro Apple TV, but I’m also really looking forward to the M5-based Mac Minis. The M5 chip is a huge step up from the already impressive M4, so imagine how much more powerful the M5 Pro Mac Mini will be. However, I may get a discounted M4 Max Mac Studio instead, once Apple unveils the M5-based Mac Studios.
I also hope Apple updates the Mac Pro in 2026 (though I’m unlikely to ever get one). It’s kinda funny how every other Mac category has up-to-date SoCs (the new MacBook Pro has the M5 chip, the majority of Macs have M4-based chips and the higher-end Mac Studio has a special M3 Ultra chip), so the M2 Ultra Mac Pro is well-overdue for an update. Still, even though I love the Mac Pro and have a couple of cheesegraters and trashcans, I wouldn’t be too upset if Apple discontinued the Mac Pro and focused on the Mac Studio and higher-end Mac Minis (and the rumoured new iMac Pro).

After everything that 2025 threw at us, i think we’ve all become stronger and more resilient. Even Apple. New Siri will probably arrive soon, it’s been in development long enough. In a few days i’ll finally have time to properly research their next more. To finish off with some festive cringe, i’ll see ya next year.
