Why no one talks about the ugly natured multitasking on iPadOS 26, how Apple ruined the user experience

When will they fix the fact that apple is a cult? I can and will comment this again and again until you stop trying to censor me.

Despite what is said in this video, swiping on cover art in Apple Music does move forward and backward among the album’s songs.

You can change the alarms back to a single button under accessiblity. Apple needs to leave the slider for those of us who don’t fear change and like it.

With all the AI news, it turns out all we need is a UI change on the Alarm Clock! 😅

I have a natural alarm clock. I wake up between 5am-6am every day. When I wake up I get right up out of bed. No lying in bed. Get up!

I want Apple to commit properly to smart home stuff. Come out with a HomeKit hub router which gives us the best HomeKit/Matter starter.

That’s really all I’m wanting unless they surprise with an Apple Watch that does diabetes tracking in which case I’m there on day one. Otherwise my Mac, iPad, iPhone are all doing the job for me. HomeKit though I just want a better more reliable setup.

Bridget here is something to look forward to since I retired 10 months ago I don’t think I have been woken up by an alarm once. What a happy change from the 3am alarm of the last decade of my working years!

2:00 The STOP button being changed to slide to stop is good, but now my alarms don’t sync with my watch, at least not an exact time sync. My watch starts to go off (it’s on vibrate) about 5 seconds before the alarm on my phone goes off.

  16. @shakiracharriez9811

    November 8, 2025 at 1:21 pm

You can change the alarm slide action back to single tap by going to accessibility go to touch scroll down to prefer single touch action and turn it on.

      You can in iOS 26.

  25. @just_passing_through

    November 8, 2025 at 5:52 pm

Apple alarms won’t be “fixed” until you can turn the phone off at night, and have the phone auto-power up 2 minutes before the alarm time, so the alarm goes off. You know, just like my Panasonic X70 mobile flip-phone did, which was released 20 years ago, in April 2005.

The excitement concerning any new, and future, Apple products and subsequent updates have been canceled. I’m over it. (iPhone 4, and original iPad early adopter). They used to “feel” so special. Now, not so much at all.

  35. @esssbeeee4312

    November 9, 2025 at 5:09 am

Actually, no 👎 because I just did created an alarm for a minute ago and then when it went off I did two things. I either tapped it at the top of the screen which it was ringing, and it had the snooze the ZZZ on the right side and the X off to the right side and the clock ⏰ was off to the left side.
All I did was tap it on the top of the screen and it completely shut off the entire alarm. I didn’t have to hit the XI didn’t even tap the snooze, which is when you normally touch the ZZZ part… And so I did it again and this time when it started on the screen, I did the side button and it closed the open screen and it also dispensed with the alarm so I don’t know what they think they thought they did, but they didn’t do whatever they think it was because it’s still pretty flawed. In fact it’s worse now…. Because before, if there was an alarm going off at the top of your screen, you had to press somewhere specifically on the alarm to get it to either close out all the way or snooze, but now if your screen is open and the alarm is going off at the top, all you have to do is inadvertently tap it, which you could easily do if your phone is turned away from you for a moment and this is important because not everyone has an alarmed to wake them you know? Some people have alarms to remind them. Hey it’s an important. You’ll have to leave the house right now so if your screen is open and you’re looking at YouTube, for example or something and you’re in the back room getting things ready and you turn your phone over for just a second to fight with the pup at her who knows what and in that very moment the alarm goes off? And you happen to be touching the top of your screen.? well kiss that alarm goodbye it’s gone and it will never ring again because even when I went into all of my alarms to see if maybe I had just put it on snooze if it even existed anymore? It’s still in the list of alarms, it’s just. Been turned off disabled.

Last night all of my devices started to glitch extra. No standby mode going to bed, etc. Updated the phone just now since they don’t update automatically for like 7 years now. Aaaaand now just swiping between Home screens is super laggy on my 15 pro. Horrible to use. Can’t wait for it to further destroy my m4 iPad Pro that barely works anymore. Yay Apple. They did an alarm thing for losers who have zero self control and can’t wake up. Woo. Nothing else works.

    November 9, 2025 at 10:10 am

I got a message on my pixel a while back the minute I plugged in my phone at night because it knew i was going to bed. And it said ” tomorrow is a holiday, do you still want your alarm to go off?.” Does the iOS update do that? 😀

  47. @radinsyah1574

    November 9, 2025 at 12:00 pm

The weirdest thing to me is how the alarm and timer had OPPOSITE snooze-stop-restart-stop prompts. Where it’s stop at the top for one, was stop at tge bottom for the other.

  48. @StupidInternetPeople1

    November 9, 2025 at 12:36 pm

It’s genuinely hilarious that you think pointing in a thumbnail like every other brainless clone is your golden ticket to success. Your finger isn’t directing attention — it’s just highlighting how painfully unoriginal you are. You’re not standing out; you’re disappearing into a sea of identical desperation. Keep pointing, maybe one day you’ll accidentally gesture toward an original idea. Another addition to the cesspool that is YouTube 😂

1:42 Hi Bridget, I just wanted to let you know, that if you turn on either Reduce Transparency or Increase Contrast, it will NOT let you switch on TINTED in Liquid Glass.
Apple is trying to make sure people are pigeonholed into using Liquid Glass, because, you know, clearly they put so much time into it, they don’t want to give people the option to NOT use Liquid Glass.
Personally, I don’t like it, I need the distinguishing full colours and thicker borders and bold lettering to be able discern what I’m seeing on the screen, so this liquid glass thing has been a real bother……

  51. @jbrown7403
