In Egypt , when connected to a VPN , you have zero internet. Provider cuts off internet. Is there any way around this ?

Maybe try secure SSH or different VPN protocols on a different port?

I utilize VPN Unlimited by KeepSolid via Lifetime subscription service in FL, US by IKe2 encrypted connection. Sometimes, before the application releases an update, it acts up for me with disconnection 😢 But it’s still worth it for me on all my devices except my TVs, for streaming content is limited . I am able to bypass certain channels by switching my local streaming VPN: a hassle & a blessing 😂🙏🏼

What do I have to install in my iphone: the extension or just download the VPN or is there another option?

    • @CNET

      October 12, 2025 at 1:01 am

You can download a VPN app on your phone. Check the links in the description for recommended VPNS

You can install a number of different VPN service applications on your phone. However, just remember that an iPhone does not allow split tunneling so it’s all or nothing. For example, on a computer or Android phone you can selectively allow certain apps or websites to function around the VPN while securing other websites or apps through the VPN. This is useful as some store apps do not allow you to use a VPN and will actually block services, so on the iPhone you will be constantly turning the VPN off and on to use certain services.

the Jude own 8 VPN companies so privatish 😂

Using a VPN to access geo locked video content sounds great in theory but so many sites like streaming services automatically block you if they identify you are a using a VPN IP.

A surprisingly thorough VPN video, even from CNET who has lost their magic over the years.
    Two areas of improvement:
Don’t don’t show private IP addresses when referring to public ones.
Mention how a home router could be used as a VPN client, or even a VPN server to connect to if you’re somewhere such as a public Wi-Fi connection and want to be more private.
