2.0 should have those weedwhacker fishing lines on each side so you can program the appropriate side to activate around trees, rocks, etc.

How safe is the product around kids and pets?
@J509-b8c
September 27, 2025 at 11:29 am
Shouldn’t have to be worried too much about that.
Why??
Well, because they should be a parent watching their kids and their pets

@@J509-b8c — Ok, but, b/c life can be chaotic sometimes, how safe is the product around kids and pets when parents aren’t able to monitor them every moment?

@declup
Well, that robot should not be operating when they’re not monitoring their kids.
It’s not that difficult to watch your kids and have that robot mowing your lawn at the same time it’s called multitasking

It’s a reasonable question. I can’t speak about the specific mower being reviewed but can tell you what I think of the Luba 2 and maybe you can generalize from that. I don’t have children at home (my son is grown) but I personally wouldn’t have any concerns if I did.
– The mower is slow, definitely not going to catch anyone by surprise
– The blades are well under the body and there are side skirts as well. It would take a concerted effort to get get hit by the blades, it’s not going to happen accidentally
– The mower shuts off and sends an alert if lifted
– It has visual and ultrasonic object detection and a touch sensor in the bumper. I haven’t personally tested these but I know they’re there
It’s cool to watch at first but once the novelty wears off it’s boring. It slowly and quietly plods through the yard, definitely not a robotic death machine. Unless you’re a Barbie doll in the grass, might not fare too well if any appendages are sticking up. 😂. Kids shouldn’t play around it while it’s mowing because that’s just common sense but they don’t have to be locked up, they could safely transit through the yard while the mower is operating.

What if you have a fence? I love the fact you don’t have to bury a cable underground like some of the older mowers.

Did it actually mow? You didn’t show any grass being cut.. it was a video on how to setup your toy…. If it does mow the. where does it store and how deep is the catcher?
