Despite how you feel about the zuck the guy is really pushing this and being super innovative. When people gave up on vr he kept pushing it same thing with smart glasses people gave up on it back then when google tried and he’s pushing it more than ever. And so what if there were some hiccups with the live demo. It’s something easily fixable with some software updates. People act like apple doesn’t have annoying bugs all the times. Tech is never fully fool proof, things can and will always go wrong but that’s why we fix them.

  5. @MikoGH

    September 18, 2025 at 7:27 pm

There’s always a big risk that things won’t work correctly when giving live demos and I got a good laugh out of the mistakes, but I respect the fact that they knew the risk, took the risk, and gave an authentic demo where things didn’t go perfectly. We’ve all seen too many “perfect, too good to be true” demos over the past couple of years where companies got called out for faking it. Not here. As an early adopter of the Meta RayBan glasses, super excited to see the improvements in the new glasses and will wait to see how the new video-capable Metas actually work IRL.

The fact it was a frustrating mess give me hope in the product. Real af is what were looking for, and an uncontrollable alert noise playing non stop is real af.

I think meta is really on the right way just not fully there yet. IF, and its a big if, they make an AI software which is leading and like a companion which learns from you 24h useable with such glasses it would be the next big thing after the mobile phone. Why? Because for every problem you have or any question you would have meta would be there for you. You dont need to google, you dont need chatgpt… You could just look at your problem and it helps you. Mark is significantly younger than all the others like elon, jensen, bill, larry…

When the WiFi doesn’t work, I will say this is like how Quest 1 was like, quest 2 2025 is when quest 2 really got good, quest 3 is actually super decent out of the box. So I’d say we’re a few years out til they work out all the bugs of this.
