I prefer my cheap Casio dual analogue face and digital readout watch. Do Apple Watch have a such dual presentation?

The analogue face tells me the rough time in a glance. The digital part is more accurate plus has other features, moon phase, tide times and other common features.

It costs me AUD52 or USD35 only.

Apple Watch with a camera would be ok instead of heavy phone or a camera mounted on a selfie stick. It’d be doable given technology on iPhone and in action cameras of similar dimensions already.

The Apple Watch with such would be bulky and heavy. I guess would be ok if it has iPhone/action cameras class picture-video capturing capabilities.

Would I buy one? Might be. Thus far I haven’t bought any smart watch as I see no need for it. But I would miss wearing my simple but excellent little Casio beauty- the best watch I’ve ever worn in terms of features and its lightness.

Btw, why does everyone I’ve seen with Apple Watch wearing it so tightly on their wrist? I prefer my watch to be loose over wrist.

      I should add.

I don’t give a toss about AI or Siri. To me they are just software. Yes Apple is doing poorly on these softwares. Big deal. Apple will sort the mess out. After all both Siri and AI in Apple are now under one supervision under the software team instead of seperate domains.

A centralised approach will be better. Apple will get it right.

I actually have a contrarian view. I have turned off Siri, do not use AI, social media, etc. I use my iPhone 16 to interact with my hearing aids and Apple Watch period. Perhaps I could downgrade my phone to an old fashion flip phone and get rid of features that I don’t plan to use in the future as suggested here?

Watches still use phones as their network connection and AI so no. This would work with an iPhone 16E.
Apple could make a cloud version that works with cellular watches.

Oh wow, excuse me—did you just get promoted to the supreme overlord of Apple’s marketing braintrust? Because every single word you spew is a flawless echo of Apple’s sacred corporate gospel. Bravo! Apple’s AI has been “around” forever, like that ancient relic gathering dust in a museum nobody visits. Yet somehow, despite all the buzz and fanfare, it still manages to suck harder than a vacuum cleaner stuck on low power. Genius!
And let’s not forget its dazzling talent for being wildly biased depending on the location—because sure, let’s make an AI that’s arbitrarily picky about where it plays favorites. But hey, when it comes to raking in cash from every corner of the planet, suddenly all that pesky bias vanishes faster than Apple’s softer side. Consistency? Ethics? Nah, that’s for amateurs. It’s all about the bottom line, honey.
So pardon me if I don’t stand and applaud your regurgitation of Apple’s PR nonsense. Your statements aren’t just aligned with Apple’s previous claims—they are the textbook definition of corporate spin dressed up as “progress.” Bravo again for keeping that shiny Apple hype machine churning out the same old song and dance.

I’m down for 🎧 or ⌚️, but they’d have to improve the microphone on the AirPods. I have the AirPods 2, and Siri, or whoever I’m on a call with, can’t always hear me clearly. Especially if it’s windy or noisy 🫤 which I thought was the whole point of some of the features *of* the AirPods 🤔

Oh! I also wish they could differentiate from one another. If I’m speaking a command into my watch with my AirPods on, like starting a timer, why does it go to my phone instead of my watch? I’m talking *into* my watch? It doesn’t make any sense 🤷🏻‍♂️

One of the best move apple can do is to make Siri to reconfigure stuff on the iPhone itself. Like having a AI creating shortcuts and having ultra customization of the way the iPhone reacts to activating order. That will make shut android people for good. “Hey Siri create a back button to my phone activated by that move. Hey Siri when I say that word launch on the TV the birthday video I want to suprise my mom, hey Siri create a button to send all the YouTube screenshots in that file and upload it on iCloud.. ” and just watch the Apple stock option rise first again.. just saying..

Everybody complains about Siri, yet nobody is forcing you to use it. Your iPhone works perfectly fine without it, but it seems like hardly anyone even tries.

And if you hate it that much, I’d love to see you try fixing Siri yourself. You’ll quickly realize it’s not as easy as it looks.

I don’t think we really WANT to replace the phone… we WANT a nice camera in our pockets, that has a screen to look at stuff on… a device that does it all. Now, I think ideally we ALSO have mixed reality glasses if that can’t somehow be combined into the phone itself, because I do think immersive volumetric video/VR gatherings and gaming/interactive AR experiences and tools are the real future. AI, while useful, will only augment these items, not replace them.

Also, I think the very people who will want to ditch their phones are probably not the same people who will want to become reliant on AI… so I don’t really buy Bridget’s vision here.

With Siri being so incredibly useless at even the most basic things, I have no idea how anyone can make a video about how Apple might bring us all these new AI features via Siri, AI features that Apple so far has failed to deliver even in conventional ways, despite all talk about Apple Intelligence.
