Yeah, I use both iPhone and Android, when I switched to my OnePlus, I was surprised at how bad it was, it’s slow and sounds so robotic. I wonder when they’re going to update it.

I read that maybe android auto with get an update to allow video play like YouTube or Netflix while parked. I would love that option while charging my EV.

Turns out it’s only audio playback to my understanding

      August 3, 2025 at 4:06 pm

@@davidlaning3613That’s not correct, it will allow you to listen to the video while driving but you can watch videos while in parking mode. “Android Auto is getting an update that will allow for video playback, but with limitations. Video playback will be restricted to parked mode, meaning it will only be available when the car is not in motion. Google is also introducing an audio-only mode for video apps on Android Automotive OS (cars with Google built-in), which will allow users to listen to audio from video apps while driving. “

@@davidlaning3613it’s not, it will support video playback while parked and audio playback of videos when driving only.

For me Google automotive and Android Auto are the best automotive infotainment.
If not having wireless AA I’m using adapter from Quad Lock it just works great 👍

How to know if my car supports wireless connection ? İ20 2025 shows support for android auto, but there’s no info whether it’s wireless or not

I have a 2020 Honda CRV and a Samsung A15. Everything is great EXCEPT, when navigating the map will not show on the screen. The voice tells me where to go but no map. I’ve tried every setting I can find. I just assume either my car is too old or my phone is.
