I don’t understand why we need AI video generators. The potential for harm outweighs the benefit IMO. Just imagine how this is gonna be used in politics to influence opinion. Politicians are quite possibly the dirtiest and the most unscrupulous bunch on the planet,

Some people don’t want to be on camera like these YouTubers…or YouTubers don’t want to be on camera all the time to create content. People use it to advertise their products on their e-commerce stores or infomercials. So there is a use for it but it’s just a matter if it’s going to be useful and believable.

Making a film is incredibly time consuming and expensive and even if you have everything scheduled and lined up correctly, an actor might do a bad job or get sick or suddenly quit or whatever. Animation is also incredibly time consuming. These AI videos tools allow much faster creation and allows the creation of surreal videos that would be impossible to film.

Maybe politicians will misuse this but people said the same thing about Photoshop.

Typical AI: Impressive Demos; but absolutely worthless for real world results.

We’ll never know what’s true or fake soon enough, we’re already individually secluded to our phones so won’t take much to fool us when we’re single out…glad I’m old enough to have lived before what’s coming takes place
